Can children distinguish early on...

I have no idea who she is! :) I will have to go google this one.

She was a looker in her day!:giggle: If I am not mistaken, she did some Elvis movies, too. She is famous for being the only original member of the Mickey Mouse Club to need a bra.:P

I learned that in the Boy Scouts.
An eagle makes a shrill kree.

Ducky, I wouldn't mind you so much if you cared, and weren't just jumping in anytime anybody said something you think is anti Jillio.

She is fine at defending herself.

Now that sounds like a club.

Everyone here is capable of taking care of herself. I'm calling you out for using that word. The only reason that anyone uses shrill or uppity to assert priviledge over another person. Portraying a woman as hysterical doesn't fly with me. It means that the male feels threatened and takes a cheap shot.

Who are you calling out? I quoted Beowulf.

That word makes me furious. And he is the one who used it.

Now the cry becomes "the hearing can defend themselves."
No need to do that for them.
Stop it!

:giggle:

See how silly it's getting?

Beowulf. I would have quoted but I'm on a droid. Women don't normally use that word.
I wonder why some hearing people act like deaf people are rejecting them and joining a club that excludes them. It reflects insecurity. Some hearing people are afraid of deaf people with all their hands moving. I can see it so clearly.

You talked about Grendel's kid, "piping shrilly, "I am Deaf!""

I have been angry since then. It's a nasty characterization of anyone.

Oh. It wasn't intended to be mean-spirited. I added the "shrilly" part in keeping with my perception of a child's voice.
Sorry if it offended you. I will be more careful with my words.

Okay.

Okay...I think we have all made our points. Ready to go back to the topic? These internal disagreements make some people very happy, and I don't enjoy feeding into that.

I am pretty blunt and subsist on a steady diet of eating my own foot.
