Yea I've seen semi trucks with super single tires before. I can imagine how expensive they are for sure. I wonder how much it costs compared to dual tires.
Probably a bit cheaper than dual, maybe these two guys knows the answer
Gas engines make more horsepower, diesels produce more torque. Most people aren't looking for pulling power with a motorcycle, they want hp and acceleration. Plus a gas engine will rev faster and higher where most of it's hp is made giving it better 0 to 60 speed. Diesels make all the torque and power low in the rev range and that is good for pulling.
Hey sonocativo, I don't think it will make any difference between dual tires and super single tire, because if dual tires and one blows, others is going have to deal with extra weight on it and can go blow up easily. I see single supersize as advantage because of more footprint on road than dual could offer.

I think the super singles are dangerous, a tire blows there is nothing to back it up like a dual wheel.

Depend what set diff and transmission ratio you choose.

I learned few drivers who own semi-truck with super single tire and they complained about poor traction during snow/ice. I checked all tires tread depth and looks good to me. My manger told me that's normal for super single tire issue about traction. The super single tires are better fuel efficiency than dual tires.
If you have narrow tires at the strip you can gain some speed but loose traction out of the hole especially with all the torque.and yes that's dry pavement, that's why they burn out to get the rubber sticky for better bite on the hole shoot !I'm not too sure, reason I assume because most racing cars have wider tires than normal, especially the top fuel cars. Perhaps excellent traction only on dry pavement.

See how much torque going on when they rev up and haulin. Tractor actually tilted due to strong torque. Nice black smoke!

Well got the new fuel tank in, van starts again $35 at the salvage yard. Picking up some wheels hopefully tonight $100 and should be back on the road if she didn't dick up the trans or axles.
new "to me" fuel tank... pulled at the salvage yard.Is a new fuel tank cost $35?
