Bad Fellowship - Please Read

I just think that everyone has a right to say what they think, even the Bible~thumpers. Its just that everyone becomes so personal, and start attacking.

That's when you have a situation that's out of control ~ because everyone is taking it personally or thinking that others are saying things that apply to them and no other.

I have no problem with religion ~ its only when people start using it against me or my personal views ~ that's when I take it hard and back off quickly.
Right on DD :thumb:

On the other hand, there are people that do not do so, but instead explain what they think of this or that and apply their own opinion to each ~ I love reading Reba's postings. She does it so gracefully, and tries not to make it a personal mission to convert every one of us or shove it down our throats and make us choke. I don't always agree with her posts, but I can often see her own logic behind them.

I know we can't al be like her, but we can do it in our own words ~ and make it the simple truth as we see it in our own way.
Right! Many members here use tact and voice their views tastefully. That shows class in my book. :thumb:

If you think freedom of speech applies to everything? So are you implying that it is OK to have sexual harassment? Is it ok to reveal anyone's personal information? Is it OK you to INSULT anyone at your will? Is it okay to verbally attacking to anyone? Is that what you want that? Just think about, it is OK to say whatever you think is true and applies them ONLY TO YOURSELF, NOT EVERYBODY ELSE! Forcing others to believe what you believe is totally unacceptable, and that is SIMPLE! Period!

The true intention of freedom speech have NOTHING to do with citizen to citizen. What it really protects a cizitens from government punish them for saying anything that MIGHT be against political favor. You have completely freedom of speech whatever you THINK government is doing. Like you have the RIGHT to say whatever you think of George W Bush is. That is what the constitution is intended to. Long time ago when American settler left England to live here. Their reason was to "Run away" from the England government which used to control the religious and they will punish you severely if you say something negative to the King and queen of England. So, Those people who declare the independence had put the freedom of speech in constitute because they do NOT wanted to be punished for what they got to say against our government.
The constitution of the United States concerning Freedom of speech is largely misunderstood by Americans.

I agree with DD on that. I noticed even though Reba is religious person, she knows how to be neutral, does not need to repeat over and over unlike Heath and Momoftwo. She respects individual's point of views and debates without criticizing.

Here we go again with the fingerpointing....Don't anyone noticed when you fingerpoint someone to blame, don't anyone ever think it might hurt a person's feelings?...I guess not, afterall, some of you think it's just an interent big deal...

Well in that case, you guys have a great Christmas, I'll see you next year I guess when everything is more calmer and members getting along with one other ... :(

Mod Note:

Thread's closed and placed under review--

Time to let things cool down and step back for a bit...there's always a time when members ought to learn when to hold off on clicking the 'submit button' in this thread--there seems to be some personal and direct finger-pointing, etc., that don't belong here and will be removed....

Alex created something here in hopes this could quash the very things that is going on in this thread and elsewhere in this Forum--he has every intention in striving to help AD become more peaceful and tolerable to a point where each member can learn to RESPECT...that's the key here in AD, learning to respect others despite the beliefs, opinions, ideas others have, learning to agreed to disagree along the lines of refraining from clicking on the submit button that could be consider a direct attack against how or what another member does in here...time to learn to 'tie-up' the fingers and keep from making such replies that carries a negative tone or manner that could allow other members to pipe in and create even bigger dramas that sure isn't needed!!

Please, let's learn to RESPECT others, if you don't have anything NICE to say to another poster/member, pls. refrain from making such posts and if there is any such problems or difficulties with a member here, contacting any of the moderators here or Alex himself would be a better and calmer way to go about it....

Thanks to RR for re-opening the thread - we  before your might!

All say the same - many could describe a lot of members here - we have friends from the past, the present and the future. We have family members here, such as husbands/wifes, sisters, brothers, cousins, so on... We have school chums, both past and present; many common denominators - yet we all share a basic need - the thirst for knowledge and friendships.

Such a nice way to celebrate the 7th day of Christmas...

On the seventh day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
Seven swans a-swimming,
Six geese a-laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.

Smiles!
