AZ Congresswoman...12 others, shot

Somehow I missed that. Do you have a link to the interview or statement?

No, as I did not watch it on the net. I watched it on national news.

Ah, so it's gone with the wind. :scatter:

Oh, well.

Not necessarily. You can always do your own search for it. I'm sure it's on the net somewhere since you missed it on the national news.

I guess I just don't hang on every Palin interview like some people do.

The reports of Giffords' progress are simply wonderful! :)

kinda sux that there's no photo or video of Giffords.

They are kind of hard to miss, unfortunately.

Guess you are not as interested in seeing what she had to say that sparked the whole debate as you once seemed to be.

She neither holds a political office, nor is she currently running for run, so I really don't follow her.

Despite what you might think, I don't follow all the pundits. I don't follow Palin, Gringrich, Beck, Limbaugh, or several others who seem to have their names in the news whenever there is an uproar.

I really don't know why people give them so much credit (or blame) for national events.

I was just responding to your request for a link to her nationally televised speech. You appeared to have some interest in watching it. *shrug**

She has been released from the hospital...amazing!

It is truly amazing. She has a long road of recovery ahead of her, but if the progress she has made thus far is any indication, she will be back home before long.

Just as a reminder of the chronology of events:

On the very day of the shootings:

...Keith Olbermann sought to tether this tragedy to a political agenda, attaching the madness of this shooting to Sarah Palin, Sharon Angle, Glenn Beck, and a host of other right-leaning figures.

"If Sarah Palin, whose website put and today scrubbed bulls-eye targets on 20 representatives, including Gabby Giffords does not repudiate her own part - however tangential in amplifying violence and violent imagery in American politics - she must be dismissed from politics," Olbermann said. "She must be repudiated by the members of her own party. And if they fail to do so, each one of them must be judged to have silently defended this tactic that today proved so awfully foretelling."

That was several days before Palin made her statement. Her statement was in response to the one above, and others that were similar. She didn't come out of the blue with a statement.

On this thread, it was not I who brought up her name the first time.
