I have asperger's...you can not say that like assume if I am really like.

That's a good description of high functioning autism. Even though you mean it as an insult, it is exactly what it is like.

I do too, although reclassified to high functioning autism.

You won't get respect unless people are educated .

I got placed in the "special" class room, stuck in the back of elementary school campus and adjacent to a middle school campus. I hated being separated from my mainstream classes and having a teacher shadow some of my classes. I wasn't like the other special needs kids. I wanted to stay with the main group and socialize as needed. Didn't have many behavioral, academic problems- just that those days educators believed in what they believed. Eventually, they granted complete freedom (beginning of high school) from anything "special" or outside the mainstream classes.

I do display some traits (comfort in repetition and crowds with intense focus on problem-solving) of Asperger's but never really consulted with anyone about that. (I lied to psychiatrists when I was 12-probably not the best idea since that time period was very intense and affected my social life greatly later).

The special needs label is terrible and was counter-productive to my social and intellectual development.

It's definitely much better to meet people in person and not dependent on online- though, if you're like me, I don't live in an area with a lot of deaf people.

I was also put in the "special" class room when I flunked fifth grade and it was horrible ! The students were given work that way too easy so we
could 'pass' the class! Then I was sent to the "special" class room in JR. high school and got a a teacher that was burned out and a bitch! We had her for all the subjects . The students were called "reject" in special class!
We were also given easy work and did not have to do any book reports or read poems, that was for the 'mainstream classes'. I hated school with a passion but I stuck it out . I was the oldest student in my high school and was 20 years old when I got out high school. I have alway felt like a damn failure for finishing school at 20 years old!

I am upset also watching what is happening. I wish you could take a small break from questions so people would stop acting like savages.

Who going to live with the woman you or your dad! The hell with what your dad want , find the woman you want. Are you going to waste your time trying to made your dad happy. And since he is the one that want you to marry a rich white woman from harvard let him find the 'prefect' woman for you. You might as well as you're letting your dad control your life.
Your dad has live his life, this your life and you should live it your way and not let you dad tell you who to marry.

well he can go ahead and marry anybody he wants but if it's the woman he disapproves of... that means he'll probably get cut off.
