Are Deaf People More Religious Than Most?

Deaf people have different Religion, some of them don't have any Religion at all.
I'm a Christian fellowship, I believe in the existence of God, The bible describes a kind of love that goes far beyond the greatest human capacity, by sending his only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through Him.

I believe in GOD is more than enough, but whatever religions deaf have or don't have it entirely up to them what they choose to believe in. It would not matter to me what religions a deaf person is as long it not just one religions that must be required which religions to follow.

I wouldn't exactly say that deaf people are more religious... just more gullible when it comes to religion.
According to several door-to-door Bible-thumpers, they target deaf people more often cuz they're gullible and can be easily persuaded to join their religion.
A friend of mine was visited by a Mormon one day. That Mormon admitted that he knew my friend was deaf before my friend even said anything. After the conversation, my friend asked how the Mormon knew he was deaf. The Mormon showed my friend a huge booklet with a listing of every registered deaf person living in the city. My friend took the booklet and slammed the door on his face. :roll:

Honestly, I wouldn't know if deaf people have more/less the same religious than hearing people do, however there are several that do not share the same belief as I do but it does not mean that I would disrespect them.
Really, not here. Too many of them lost interest in religion and ended up too many of them divorced.
Good Point ! That is why, I do not involve with any religious. Did rather between God and me in my prayers. Did not feel comfortable going to church or social with other Deaf people due to conflict of interest.

Are the Deaf more/less (same?) religious than hearies? How do you see it and why do you have that view?
I am an agnostic myself and darn proud of it too!
I am an European and did not pay our attention how more or less between deaf and hearies. We share our agree to disagree and listen each other with no complication - it shows that our friendship are more matter than worry our belief. Very simple because we are not religion frantic. *shrug*

That is interesting. I didnt know but when I moved to Little Rock. my soon to be ex husband and I went to Walmart one day and we met a couple who knew sign language. We talked for a short time. The lady asked us for our address. my ex gave the address to them.
Later the couple come to our home almost every week to tell us about God etc. I told her I dont believe in JW religion as Im a baptist. She said yes but please listen to me what i tell you blah blah.. so ever since she called and sent me emails etc. I simply avoided her and didnt want to see her again.
I told my ex that he shouldnt have given her the address but at that time we didnt know she was with JW church. Dont get me wrong. I do believe in God but such religion as JW are different. sigh...
After I moved back home.. she sent me emails and asked Where are you? I said I moved .. I dont live in LR anymore. she asked me for my address and I told her sorry no.
seriously she sound like a stalker! bothering me and all that ugh!
Anyway with what you said and I wonder how did they get the informations on the addresses?
It sound like I am sorry but sound like they are stalkers?? they need to leave us alone and let us join when it is our choice or when we are ready to join and be saved? thats my opinion....

Seems to me that there are a large number of religious people on these forums. I can't explain it!

I don't blame you for that. I former Jehovah Witness.. I suggest you email them The flag of America. They will stop bother you all... Or label The flag of America on front the door. They will eecckkk away from The flag of America lol!!!
Last few month ago, In Texas My good friend called me in vp. She can't stand of JW bothered her all the times. I told her put The flag of America her front the door. They will stop bother her. She say serious??? I said yea!! trust me!!! Later, It true came stopped!!! She realized that whoa! IT WORKED LET YOU ALONE!!!

JW is scared of the sight of Flag of America?? Umm that s interesting.. so I should bring a small flag of america with me and whenever I see JW coming to me, I ll pull my flag and waving at them. They should screaming and run! Awesome.
