Then why blow up the inflatables every day?

On a timer?
yep. One of our neighbors has his santa fully inflated--just face down on the lawn.
In our 1-mile circular block, we have the inflated Santa. Another neighbor has a huge tree in their picture window, fully lit each night. They are not ill nor elderly. Also, other people who still have outside lights up. Some have electric candles in their windows and wreaths on their doors.Hey you two! I can see how it could happen. Someone sick in the family (either the person in charge of the decorations or that person having to care for others) or time problems with the decorations the least of their concerns.
I have never worked with these inflatables. Having seen them up at almost all hours of the day so thought they could be blown up and left that way until you let the air out.
Every time we pass him we say, "Uh, oh, Santa's down for the count!"lol!!!!
They are not inflatables in the ordinary sense. There's an electric motor that constantly blows air and when turned off......Santa collapses....
Having the motor going on all day must be racking up their electric bill so that's why I find it odd that it is mid January and they are still getting inflated on a daily basis.
Nah, I think the electric usage is pretty negligible....just guessing but I think its like burning a 75 watt light bulb....
I know someone who keeps her indoor fake tree up all year. She decorates if for the different seasons.
I saw it in Jan 2014 - still set up for Christmas, but she told me how she decorates it throughout the year. The idea of that is making me laugh, but maybe it doesn't look so bad. Have you seen it?

Hallmark has started selling seasonal ornaments. I gave my daughter a Halloween one for her b'day which is a few days before Halloween and Halloween is one of her favorite holidays.
You know, that might catch on, the seasonal tree thing. The more I think about it, it may become quite the fad.
