finally jailbroke my iPhone earlier tonight and it was worth the risk :)

I got pulled by a small town police car this evening. I was driving just under the posted 25 MPH speed limit, I had my lights on and I did stop at the stop sign. I also used the turn signal when I was supposed to, but still the flashing lights came on just as I turned into the parking lot for the weight loss meeting MIL goes to. Seems, that when MIL paid for the tag by mail, she sent in the wrong card to have the tag renewed, and the sticker on the car license plate is actually for the truck she sold. Luckily, no ticket, but now we get to go to the tag office tomorrow to get it taken care of.

Thanks everyone for the support about court. Through 2 rough mediation sessions, my ex and I were able to come to an agreement..finally got all the little details worked out as of last Sat so I submitted the agreement to the judge today. All it needs is the court to approve of it and then everything is set in black and write. No more fighting with my ex hubby about when my daughter will come here and who pays for what..that was all I wanted..just everything be in black and white so no more game playing.

Wow..not far! There are quite a few other ADers who live in MD but I havent met them. I have met those who live out of state. Strange.

TheWriteAlex, Jiro and I went to a Baltimore DPHH in Columbia last year. We had a great time!

That's cool :) I haven't gone to the DPHHs much around here since I moved here. Usually I'm too busy :( I should make more of an effort, though.

My state is cracking down on texting and driving today.A fine of $159 if caught.

Our state has made it a 'secondary offense' from what I understand. If you are pulled over and the officer suspects you of texting and driving - you can be written a ticket for it. Also, if a wreck was due to you texting and driving you are held at fault even if the other guy was the one that ran the stoplight. They see it as "it could have been avoided if you were paying complete attention to the road and likely would have avoided a collision by being alert to your surroundings and properly reacting".
