no. it's because of Chrome's security features and missing plugins. Microsoft website uses ActiveX plugin and SilverLight.

Jiro, Microsoft website works fine for me on Safari web browser. :hmm: I wonder what part of the website you're referring to.

You can get conversions for free like for documents when using the word program. I think, you need to pay for the MS office program.

there is a free trail for 60 days...if i do really like and i'll buy it...

i had to removed some of unnecessary programs, wipe some of bugs, and behold, its all good. hey, gimme a time to play with MO 2010!

Microsoft Office is just nothing more than a bloatware, in my opinion. Its good for BUSINESS who find it useful. I don't find it useful for home. A good, simple word processor or a 3rd party version that uses less memory and hdd space, but is useful. iLife is also good, which is for Mac.

We use Microsoft office daily. Son is also required to create Power Point presentations for school credit. I am addicted to Word and Excel. Don't have Access any longer, but was learning to use it at work.

I had the free Open Office Org or whatever and it was crap compared to Microsoft Office.

Use Open Office and it supports many of MS Office file formats and several Mac file formats. Crap? You know how to use it VERY well and OFTEN, you would have no problem.

That is why I am a huge fan of open source software.

I had a lot of files that came from friends that Open Office would not open.

bbbbzzzzzzzzoooooom! those last few posts just went over my head. :dizzy: How does one (like myself) even know where to start in learning stuff about programs or computers????

My work upgraded to MS Office 2010 over the summer. Everyone is trying to get used to it. Definitely sooooo different!

I like my Office 2007. Hope I don't really need to upgrade it. I'm finally getting used to it over 2003.
