I finally paid off my students loan today! Whooooooooooooo!
 
Will be getting state license plates and driver's license today. We are going to have a busy day.
 
Oh boy! my little niece got a new cell phone. now she practically texts to my daughter back and forth messages a lot that she uses my cell phone. Look like I am going to get her own cell phone soon. :thud:

yikes..I'm not there yet lol. how old is your neice? my boy waaaants my pager ALL time when I pick it up to respond, likes strobe/LED lights on it. I put it in in ziplock bag so he won't drool on it. :D :roll:

LOL, My niece is 8, going to be 9 in dec. My girl's 9. Thanks a lot to my sister! hehe So im hoping that my girl won't bug me about a cell phone until dec. *hint* :cool2:

woah woah WOAH!!!! wayyyyyyyy to early for cell phone (thats just my perspective). I don't have kiddos and understand the pressure I may feel to get one for them, but I think- whats the big deal other than the kids wasting time texting/using phone when they can do their homework or walk/ride bike over to friends house, or doing a physical activity. Cell phone technology and computer technology is simply awesome, but I feel a cell phone for child (<15-16 yrs old) has more negative effects than positive outcomes.

Yeah I know what you mean. There have limited number of texts like parental control on it. the reason some kids join sports and kids can call parents to pick them up or school or parent check on kid to make sure kids are ok. My opinion age 6 is pretty young. I think 8 yrs old is ok, responsibiliy enough to take care of it. oh boy!
 
when I taught math for k-12 grades, many of the kids I would teach (age 4 to 12 average) used cellphones. It's like that were I'm from on the west, kids will call mom or dad after school is over. But I think it will take a certain age before understanding how to use one.. can't see it working too well before 1st grade.

well...was just thinking, I'm deaf and my son is not...and texts are the easier way...so he probably will have one when enrolled kindergarten! :giggle:

im somewhat upset at my Toshiba laptop that aint let Microsoft Office 2010 downloading.. i uninstall MO '07...what has it gone wrong?!
