every bit counts. same thing for car with airbag and seat belts but it's not a guarantee that you will live. Sorry to hear about your friend.

Thanks, Jiro.

ever since the boots were mentioned I can't get the movie Dumb and Dumber out of my head.

Killer boots man! :thumb:

lol btw - that bike I sat on... it's the newer version of my current bike... it's very similar but it's nicely upgraded. My bike is 2003 and this bike is 2010.

Although Im chicken to ride motorcycles, I sure enjoy going to look at them.

well - before the bike expo, we waited for about 2 hrs because of parking issue. My other friend could not find a spot so we got fed up and went down the street to find parking spot for him. We did find a spot and I txted him to hurry to the spot. He was several blocks away. Then this van came and we said - no we're saving a spot for our friend. There was a bit of argument and then the driver went off. Few minutes later, the van circled around the block and then came to us. He was like - wtf? Coincidentally - our friend finally arrived just few seconds later behind the van.

We told the van driver - see? our friend's here. The driver was being stubborn and refused to move. We said sure ok no problem we can wait all day because we're standing in the parking spot, blocking him. A few minutes went by, the van driver got frustrated and started reversing to parking spot. I stood in a very clear line of view so that he doesn't run me over. I guess he thought I'd move out of the way but I didn't. I FIRMLY stood my ground. He reversed right into me and I angrily bang on the van. The driver stopped and I went over to them, yelled at them. I held up the cellphone with 911 number on it. I told them that if they do not move away, I will press charge against them for bodily harm by vehicle.

They scoffed at me like I'm bluffing. Well Jiro does not lie. I waved down the park rangers who happened to pass by and I told the rangers to call NYPD for me. a couple min later.... NYPD came.... I explained the situation to officer and the officer asked me if I'm ok and if I needed to go to hospital. lol wtf? and then officer went over to van driver... did some talking... and came back to me. He explained that it's a lot of "he-said, I-said" but it would be a different story if I were injured. However he meditated the situation by getting the van driver to move away so that we can take the spot.

PROBLEM SOLVED! :cool2: parking rage? yea you could say that  but point is - this shit ain't right if you hit a person with a vehicle and I ain't gonna let them step over me. :nono:
