what I like to get is a cast iron for my pizza :)

stainless steel -- If it's thin, it will cook too fast and ruin your food. I have to deal with that all the time. No matter how low I heat my milk, it will still scorch on the botton of the pan.

thin stainless steel pan is usually small and it's usually for something quick like egg. We have 1 thin pan (small) and 2 heavy pan (big) - great for cooking meat or anything else... even steak.

the bottom of the pan will always get scorched but that's why you have to maintain it so that it'll last longer.

Update: I dropped off my homework before noon and she won't deduct any points :dance2: I am a happy camper:D

we have all kinds. We have tried all kinds. Bottom line - stainless steel wins. and cast iron.

Like what others said - spend it on HIGH QUALITY stainless steel. Cast Iron - you gotta take care of it. You must clean it after you're done eating and you must grease it. We grease it with cheap olive oil.

About stainless steel - since it's quite different from other cheap cooking pans, you will have bunch of trials and errors when cooking so expect to ruin your food during your first several tries. It is especially tricky to cook egg on it but end result - a fucking good egg :)

Stainless steel it is. My parents only liked cast iron for grilling... and for stews anyway.

:Ohno: laser treatment for my face in 1.5 hrs....

LOL thanks. I only want to drive about 2 miles to the white castle in commack. I am in desire of eating tiny hamburger. :giggle:

Yesterday - I went to new dermatologist cuz lot of people recommended him. I have a persistent skin problem - redness on my face and dry skin. He saw my face and said "hmmm.... looks like you need a laser treatment or something." He said that my facial skin is "too thin" and because of that... the blood vessels are too close to my facial skin and when vessels expand, it causes irritation and redness. I think........

I'm like um..... ok. I'm clueless! if ya'all are familiar with this process, EDUCATE ME! :Ohno:

Good luck, Jiro! :) I also have a lot of redness on my face and also dry skin. I don't know if it would be the same thing though.

LOL where are you asking about. Cause most bars are in chain restaurants like TIGFirdays and Applebee's.

The Dublin Pub was changed into The Krazy Kangaroo....but it didn't last long and was changed back.
