A Motorcycle Thread About Absolutely Nothing!

After looking at hundreds of bikes throughout last Sunday's ride, I must have the only Hyosung 650 in the Charleston area.

Many, no ALL the bikers who come up and look at it say "What is it?"
Am I stuck repeating myself continually? Maybe I need to place a sign on it at each stop giving the details :P.

Or, do any of you have any creative ideas (other than buying a name brand?). Then again, maybe I'm just being

After I launch and ride with the big dogs, those who do come up later give me compliments on its capability :D

I must be getting old. I tried to see one in #1213 but......

There are usually 2-4 trikes in most of the PGR runs. In Beaufort, I was talking with a woman who had a fairly new Harley trike. She loves it with the exception of the trunk seal leaking. She had it back to the dealer 3 times and it still leaks when it rains.

The Goldwings are very popular around here.

I would never ever do that here. We have too many tobacco chewers :giggle:

About 25 years ago I had that happen :nono:. Redneck spit out his truck window and the wind carried it back toward me. Thank goodness I had a windshield on my CB-750.

But that was just regular riding.

hey ya'all!

leaves are changing colors and falling down. and the riding season's still going. be careful out there! Leaves are very slippery so watch out for it!

Watch out for falling leaves and little branches while riding. It can get nasty when hitting it at high speed and it stings.

That is a good reminder.

In SC we also have many small animals (raccoons, squirrels, possums) that come out in the evening because of the cool weather. :Ohno:

But of course if a deer runs............perish the thought.

hear ye! hear ye! *ringing bell*

winter season's almost coming and riding season's almost over. this is a perfect opportunity to buy any expensive gear you've been wanting. It is an excellent close-out seasons. I see bunch of products selling for 50-75% off! keep an eye out for certain gear you want and wait for sales! :cool2:

Yeah!!! I had an accident on moped many time while turning corners where leaves on road. Learned my lesson. Now on my motorcycle, I'm more leery over that. I just changed oil on my bike before winter come. I will have to put in gas stabilizer in so it can last through winter (It's in my 3rd garage anyway).

Another one.

regarding deer strike, the general consensus of seasoned bikers was that you should just hold on tight (hugging your bike w/ your legs and lower your head) and keep going. your chance would be better than if you slammed on the brake which leads to a more serious accident - loss of control, tumbling down the road, etc.

just pray that your head doesn't hit deer's body because it's equivalent to slamming into brick wall :Ohno:

Totally agree!

This afternoon I installed a 6-color LED light kit in the bike. It has 10 different settings and a remote key chain. IT IS BEAUTIFUL! :P

Removed the gas tank, seat and side covers. The 8" strips are waterproof and held on with double-stick tape. All 6 leads plug into a central box which I attached to the underside of the air cleaner box with Velcro. Two wires to the battery. The positive wire has an inline fuse.

Location is important: Two under the rear wheel well, One under where the seat/gas tank meet, One under the right side and one under the left side covers, and one on the underside of the front fork which flashes down on the chrome fender hanger and reflects back up twice on the chrome radiator cover. Used the same wiring run as the brake lines.

It took 2 hours. Saved $140 labor that the dealer would have charged. :D

I have hear of many bikers being charged about $200 labor!
