I've no idea if I have a deaf accent, I probably will do, but when I visit my friends in the south their parents can tell where I'm from. I do have a Mancunian Accent according to them(Manchester)

Some great points here, I have nothing to add since all the good points have been made!! I LOVED reading books as a young child, not so much now although I prefer to read facts, the news etc. I was a child that learnt to speak through English language.

I was raised to speak, since that was recommended by my teachers at school. Although my parents learnt sign I wouldn't sign back. I wish I did, because even now I find it hard to express what I really want to say and the words never come out how I want it to. I've grown up with sign around...
