well it turns out my brand spanking new nucleus 5 processor is faulty which it makes the static /popping noise. I cant believe $8000 processor is stuffed from day 1. Atm it sent off to cochlear to be repaired. I really wanted a new replacement rather than repaired processor..... oh well .

Good point LDnanna i wear my aids every day from waking up to bedtime. atm i'm not wearing any aids due to CI op two days ago. still recovery for two more weeks. once i get CI i will be wearing it from waking up to bedtime as usual.

I think its time that you file a complaint to Fair trading and get them to pay you full or some money back for the aids that werent suitable for you.

yep i have digital aids now . when i first wore the digital aids it sounded so metalic. it was awful but after 4 mths of wearing and getting used to it . now its sounded more like my old analog aids. Now im ditching aids for my CI in one month time .yay cant wait and no more moulds !!

You say ,you get sick, headaches from your old implants .. sounds like youre allergic to it. then you say the magnet arent strong enough . you could always get stronger magnet for it. but since you got it removed. its likely you wont get re implanted again unless you pay it with your own cash...

in australia ifyou want second CI it cost you $25grand..... or go on to health private insurance for a year and you will onlly pay very small gap and the private health will cover the rest. its something that i think about after i get the first CI in march 26th
