I've heard of hearing people getting CI's. I don't know what the critera is, but I do know that, hoh people are just as qualified as deaf people. I don't think it is as new though.. not sure.

Cochlear Implant surgery and how much does it cost afterwards, like with keeping it up to date etc? Is this covered by medical? I'm in British Columbia btw, not in the states.

What do you think of it? I honestly think it is not a big deal, unless they are going overboard with it.. I don't have this problem, but I know of others who have.

I am hard of hearing, but I've grown up with hearing people and I have never seen any of them make fun of deaf people, or act in any way different around them. That's too bad, that some people actually act that way...
