it sucks! weddings can be stressful -- i have been there and done it... and also heard crazy stories as well!!! :dizzy: cuz so many different people are involved and it makes your head spin... :dizzy:

one thing... who is PAYING FOR THE WEDDING? and also... i think you need to speak up!!! DON'T BE AFRAID!!! i have seen you speak up in here, you got the spine!!! :D

if these people are close to you, why don't you have a heartfelt talk with them and tell them how you feel and that it makes you sad that they are upset.... and you are miserable by keeping quiet and going along with everyone else- and it is not fair to you! :( you shouldn't have to be sad because of them???

i think you need to open up and tell them that you would like to PICK OUT THINGS/PLAN THINGS OUT with THEIR SUPPORT... FOR YOUR WEDDING since it only happens once in a life time... such as that SONG THAT YOU LOVED!!?? and stuff like that?? can you do that?? hang in there girl!!! it will be over before you know it!!! then your life will be back to normal and stressfree! :D
 
Angel its your wedding this is a pretty song from Celine Dion. You have the right to pick and choose songs for your wedding. It's okay for family and friends to have opinions bottom line its your day.

my best friend was very smart not to have bridesmaids in her wedding cuz it was too much of a hassle... i plan to do the same too ... yikesss... i don't need the stress.. i saw what my sister went through... FORGET IT! :dizzy:


i was a bridesmaid in a wedding.... i hated the color and design of the dress the bride had designed for us... so she ended up paying for the dress and changing the design of the dress to fit me... (i was heavier back then) as the the dress was designed for thin people sheesh (strapless/tight, not full if you know what i mean?) i felt very uncomfortable..... and the color sucked too as it was her favorite color back then!!??? :shock: (brass-gold color! :barf:) some of us couldn't believe she picked the color... but she did it anyway... cuz it was HER WEDDING...


another cousin who got married a few years ago wore white tennis shoes with laces cuz she hates pumps/fancy shoes and so did a friend of mine... (we didn't even notice it until they were dancing)... their parents couldn't say anything cuz they had their "last words!" :lol:

so my point is... IT IS YOUR WEDDING!!! PERIOD! tell them they can PLAN THEIR OWN WEDDINGS AND YOU WON'T INTERFERRE WITH THEIRS! PURE AND SIMPLE! :lol:

it always makes me feel better when i speak up and get it off of my chest... (ofc part of me felt bad/but the other part of felt better) that is how you learn and build your self-confidence! :D YOU CAN DO IT! :D

Well, sometimes I get the impression that I may say the wrong things, without thinking first before I replied or speaking my mind and then I feel bad about it afterwards, ya know....

i used to have them when i was engaged years ago... but gave them to my sister... i found them VERY USEFUL AND HELPFUL!!! :D

ha! i have the SAME PROBLEM TOO!!! you are not alone :D

people who KNOW ME VERY WELL in person know that i am not the kind to HURT ANYONE AT ALL especially intentionally... i just have a hard time EXPLAINING THINGS IN WORDS... that it "may come out in the wrong way" in others eyes... know what i mean??? like in here... most of you that don't know me... probably would think i am very harsh, tend to yell, etc... but THOSE who know ME VERY WELL IN PERSON know that i like to BOLD THINGS to EMPHASIZE THINGS (not to yell), say i am VERY SENSITIVE, EMPATHIC, ETC... know what i mean?? :| they even say i would be a very great counselor cuz i am very good at explaining things... i am LIKE YEA RIGHT!

writing papers in college sucked ass for me! :lol: but surprisingly i aced them cuz of my grammar! :lol:

It's your wedding, hun. Whether they like it or not, it is yours. When my ex wife and I got married, her mom controlled the wedding and its misery.

What does etiquette means?....I do have few wedding and bridal guide magazines and informations guide for weddings such as songs, hair style, vows, and many more...


I even saved a picture of one of the bride's hair style in one of these magazines :giggle:...yeah I cut out the picture and will bring it with me at the hair salon on the day of my wedding....

Ouch!! I'm sorry to hear that, My ex mother in law was a nightmare, with her it was HELL!!!....

But RR's mother is soooooo sweet, I thought I would be impossible for me to get along with any mother in laws, but I was wrong, his mother is such an angel!! Thanks God, I don't have to go through this again...

books that give helpful tips... this is one book that i have seen that seems appealing to me... there are other books you can check into too... i found this online....

I bought it for my dissertation studies but found it unhelpful.
I will hang on to this for future planning if i get married.
It would also be a great engagement gift.>>> maybe your twinie can get it for you as a gift? :D
 
I hate Celine Dion songs... period. :(

I still have the Celine Dion CD that I was supposed to give my ex-girlfriend before we broke up. It has our song on it, the song we promised to dance to whenever we heard it. Unfortunately, we broke up before I ever had a chance to give it to her. Now, it has no meaning and is sitting in storage. :roll:

For my wedding, I would work it out with my wife-to-be.

The song is lovely, however, I really love the piano version with how this guy does it...I've played it over and over, for those who can hear it, let me know what you think of it. To me, I think this is very beautifully done! :)
