Every President change the plan for spending $$ on citizens and etc.... Do they forgot about National Debt???? Look at our country for have heavy debt than I remmy when I was young.
Any idea if u think u do believe National Debt pay off or NEVER???

Look at the record for National Debt. Not realize that's alot of $$$$$ Let u look at this link to prove USA have lot of owe to pay back.

I remember i went to a CLOSE UP program in washington d.c. there are some lectures about governors, senators, and all.

We owe too much.. We are deep in debt. We discussed about some ways to cut somethings.. like they should stop from PAY to other COUNTRY.. We are losing so much money.. about million dollars. They need to control their budget.

USA has a soft heart therefore other countries must have faces with all smiles knowing they can take advantage of the USA government.

By the way, Eternity, what year did you attend Close-Up at Washington, DC? I attended Close-Up at Washington, DC when I was a sophomore in high school in spring of 1993.

:dunno: i dont know if they could pay off..
but one thing why dont they JUST make more $$$$ from treasury where the money making.. & pay it off :X
hehe!

Ladyduke, I went there last '95. That time we are in senior, eh.

I think it was WRONG to let other people to take advantage of our money. We pay the taxes and all. We are in DEBT. Why can't they just make the BUDGET.. How can they reduce by owe so much. They would be able to pay off in a TIME not like a hundred year later.

Clinton had our budget on the track for paying it off by 2010, but right now, Bush changed it all and it is climbing now again. Thank you, Mr. President.

Yes, very true. It was the first time since World War II the President ever made progress in paying off the national debt.

Darn the law that was passed in 1959 (I think) that no President shall serve more than two terms. If it wasn't for the law, President Clinton would still have been a president by now. Better yet .... until 1010!! :(

Funny, I used to wonder about that a long time ago. I wonder why not the Department of Treasury print more dollars to pay off the national debt. And I also wonder what is the "limit" of printing dollars in the USA by the Department of Treasury. (shrugs)

Yeah, such as d-Deaf people who are on SSI, SSDI, or any other welfare assistance. I'm talking about d-Deaf people who are CAPABLE of working at any workplace even at the fast-food restaurants. If they have worked at the fast-food restaurants or grocery stores, they would have saved the taxpayers' money on spending for Social Security assistance. I'm not talking about d-Deaf people who have a physical disability or medical condition nor am I talking about elderly and retired d-Deaf people.

Oh boy, I'm Deaf and LEGALLY BLIND, I have a full-time job and am not on SSI or SSDI. I face far more obstacles in finding a job than most d-Deaf people. I'm thankful for the JWOD Act that was passed in 1939 to found the organization to help blind people with getting jobs.

JWOD act? *scratch head* care to explain wot it is

unless its one of FDR's Alphabet Soup New Deal proggies

I don't think it would ever paid off at all!! it will be always goes up and up or add the budget to owe etc .... everything is full of BS !!

yes KW68 i agree

i noticed so far nobody has mentioned abt the Gen Xers being the group that would have the burden of the national debt

i read somewhere some time ago that us Gen Xers (those born between 1964 to 1978 i think) would be the group to handle with the national debt and to reduce that debt as our baby boomer parents are getting older and retiring and us Gen Xers are raising a fuss about it and for valid reasons -- if we cannot get our national debt REDUCED how are we going to get our taxes down for other things -- property, education, etc etc -- give that a thought

MsGiglz has a VERY nice suggestion on why not use the freshly printed/minted money from the US Dept of Treasury to go towards the national debt as its a perfectly legal tender and FRESH out of the printers and those monies would be going out into circulation so why not divert some of that into the national debt

good topic Lasza gurl!

uhmm and how would that fuck up the economy qq id like to hear ur explaination on this

SilenceGold,

Please do explain!!

You see.....Back in early 1900's, the cash total of the USA government was much more lower in values than today's USA government. So I bet they printed more money over the years......So your point is?

well simple put:

Paper money is TIED to the value of GOLD that is kept by either the US Treasury or the Federal Reserve Bank

Lets say for example I have gold worth $5 million, I will print $5 million in dollar bills. If I print $ more than I have in gold that's inflation simply put.

Well, why doesn't the USA government send its agents to California to dig up for more gold? :stupid:
