Will it get ugly here?

Doubtful. I think things have been pretty civil lately, even with all of the disagreements. At least I haven't been banned again so I must be doing something right. :hmm:

 for not getting banned!

I remember when I debated with wonderful and open-minded ADers at Election 2004. They see me in human being, not foreigner. They make me feel warm welcome.. .they don´t mind to accept my different POV... Now at Election 2008? I noticed that there´re some anti-foreigners around here whines over foreigner´s POV which is really sad. I miss old ADers, I made good debate with, are not here for long time.. .:( IF there´re more and more anti-foreigners around here then I will ask Alex to close my account.

Good thing is I have American co-workers who work in the same Division where I work, we debate over Election 2008... They are proud of us (Europeans) for show our interest on their US polities. They accept and understood that US economcy and war issues are my biggest concern that´s why I involve in US polities because econocmy and war issues affect many countries around the world.

:ty: for listening.

Hey... Don't worry about those jerks. ;)

I really think you are so amazing, I did really happy that you are here since you are indeed from the other country. Thanks to you and your non-American friends, I have a chance to know much more from non-American POVs. I did really enjoy to chat with Jake, SG, and others since they are from Aussie, too. :)

Embrace you!!

good luck with your election, I'm rooting for osama, and no i don't have a vote being outside of the US

Nah. It will just be the last election that I vote in, my confidence in this government will be lost forever.

I have felt that way. Not necessarily about Obama, but other candidates. My faith in our government is not the greatest and hasn't been in awhile.

I interpreted it a bit differently, but we aren't allowed to discuss that topic!

Now I'm curious to know.....:hmm:

No matter who wins, we must accept it. No point to drag ourselves down with accusations of stolen elections.

True.

My concern is that the current President may abuse his power by declaring a state of emergency on Election day due to a terrorist threat, suspend the national elections, and order all of us to say, "Heil Bush."

Afterall, he does have that authority.

And he certainly has the family connections to a point where it wouldn't be far-fetched to see him in a similar light as Hitler. Do some googling and you'll find the true origin of the Bush family. Hint: GHW Bush is alleged to be G.H Scherf Jr.:hmm:

I'm sorry if I've come out agressive in my views. It wasn't intenal. I speak as I find. That's just the way I am.

I was talking with a friend last night.

She said that her mom would move to Mexico if McCain was elected.

I also heard from another friend that if McCain was elected, she would move to Canada.

Don't worry, you're doing fine.

I am looking forward to watch the results of U.S. Presidential and Congressional Election this Tuesday night on my HDTV while feasting my pizza. :D

The Presidential Election is very important to Canada where I am from for several obvious reasons such as major trading partners, strong relationship, environment, and economy.

I have had very keen interest in U.S. politics for a long time and even I used to major in political science Gallaudet University. In additoin, I have made some good friends who are Democrats and Republicans and it was fun tobe involved in political discussions with them.

It is nothing wrong for the foreigners to discuss over American politics because it is always interesting to look at their point of views.

It is not fair to attack or insult some foreign ADers for their support of McCain while supporting others who support Obama/Biden.

I've always said that if McCain wins, I'm moving to Canada. I'm quite serious about that. Call me crazy, but that's how much I fear a McCain Administration.

Also remember that anytime the Election is over--the healing process begans.

I wanna run for Mayor. I'll change law here for everyone to buy booze on election day so we can all survive the drama. :giggle:

I've seen a Doctor write a prescription to let the patient have a beer, yeah really! He was alcoholic and MD didn't want to deal with it. Nor do we like to deal with alcohol DT's, but hey, there are good meds to prevent that.

Thank God I'm not addicted to the stuff, especially when friends try to push more liquor bombs on me! LOL I am not embarrassed to tell them enough, I've seen some pass out on their food, toilet, etc. Tell me that isn't embarrassing! LOL
