Will a 911 call save you?

yeah its scary to hear that lot of dispatcher didnt answer the calls. :(

For those who didnt answer should be fired because they didnt do their job!
 
Can't imagine someone tried call 911 on VP in front of interpreter. That's gonna be nightmare for them.
 
whats sad is our rural 911 can't take emergency calls via texts from cell phones, etc from deaf people. I wish 911 had a feature where this is possible for you to text the dispatcher if you are deaf or if you are in break-in situation and you don't want to make noise to keep yourself hidden from the intruder.

Its e-911 but Im not sure how enhanced it is from the regular 911. Other than it automatically displays the address of where the telephone number is located or the GPS location of the mobile phone within 50 yards.

But you must also remember that your 911 service is only as reliable as the operator your communicating with.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing today.. Wondering how would they accept the text call if something happened? It wouldnt work? so im hoping that they would come up with new technology for Deaf people only be able to use like GPS location to show them where so they can send help enroute.

I wondered since i have cell phone with me. What would i do? Shouldnt I call 911 using the cell phone and talk to them by saying HELP. I can say Help of course. Will they come when i said HELP? Will they will lock on my signal. But I dont see how it will work? Will it work? I just hope it will work? Hmm>? I gotta ask the dispatcher about this? hmm...
 
Once you called to 911 and they will find you by GPS and send police over to check. You don't need to said anything on 911.

I don't know if you people know this, but, at least my cell phone is equipped with gps and hooked for emergency to track it.
 
I dont know if my cell phone is equipped with gps? its a regular nokia 2610 so i doubt it? hmm. its not a smart phone like most everyone have. Its just a regular cell phone. :D

That's not true, not in my case....


When I dialed my local police department's number, I got the dispatcher, he kept asking me so many questions like what does he look like, why is he there, what is he doing now, where are you right now, what is he wearing and etc. that's just a waste of time because you just never know what would happen next. I rather for the police to get here as quickly as possible, then questions can be answered later.

Police department's number is not same as 911.

911 Systems is high technology unlike police department. You should know that.

Yeah that's true about Police can find where you're at. Because of your cellphone's GPS with satellite in Police's computer system. I read about police's 911 to save people's life. If you're using your cellphone to redial 911 once time and not speak on operator. Police will come to find you. Because of satellite with GPS will tell police where you're at. 911 is for emergency only. Do not dial for test or playing 911. It will be fine you. That what I learned from the newspaper. I know a lot about Police and laws. I know about 911's rules.
 
It depend on cellphone's company service do you have. If it's in rural and call 911 on your cellphone. Police will find where you're at. It's through the computer system and satellite gps. You don't have to speak with the operator for help. Let Police will find where you're at. Police will come stop to see what is going on. If you're on injury or victim from someone attempt to kidnap or hurt you.

911 system don't use satellite to find you. They use network tower. Most people thought GPS phone mean it use satellite but not.

I know that, but the 911 system has flaws too, the emergency dispatcher do ask questions much as What is the emergency? What happened? Where are you? Who needs help? Who's with you? Is anyone in the house with you? They also keep you on the line until the police arrives. I know that for fact.
 
How about to buy a handgun? That ought to save the people alive.

That's why the founding fathers created the 2nd Amendment. God bless them.

Just scream to the phone then hang up. Dispatcher will worry and send police over to you quick. If you still worry then just get alarm system and stop worry.

It violate the law for not response the emergency calls. Accord law, they are obligate to answer and alarm with no further questions.

We were told to prepare for emergency is just prepare is add name and address... HELP.... that´s all.
