In the 33 years of my life, with my family and I had 5 cats that found us and stayed! we also had 3 bassett hounds and 1 rescue Bassett. Varies of chickens, horses, ponies, geese, rats, hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs came through our life too.
Since I have lived on my own I have the last one of the family's cat. Bought a Jack russel to run by me when I am on horses, ratter to rat out rats in Barns aswell as mices. And of course my companion since i live on my own, he's wonderful and very alert on his ears. My neighbour and I have 2 feral cats on our front lawn, they had been here for over 1 year. When my current cat passes on (she's 16) I may allow one of the feral in and see how it goes.
