Why Deaf use Clapping or Hands Flying??

I really dont care either way. I do whatever I feel at the moment when I cheer for someone...sometimes clapping, sometimes flying hands, or sometimes swinging a beer jug.

The only reason why deaf people used the flying hands is to be visual as they cant hear the clapping hence why lot of them do this. That is why we have this nowadays to be visual as lot of us are deaf and cant hear?
