Personally, I don't believe all the pictures we see of dinosaurs are accurate either. But that's another topic.If we believe in what dinosaurs looked like in past based on fossils record, i dont see why we should consider pic in my post above is real or closely resemble of what Jesus looks like when he was alive.
I have no idea why they do that. You have to ask those who do that. At my church and in my house, we don't have any pictures of Jesus.... So, question why do christians need to have pic of Jesus being viewed as white/brownhair/blue eyes laying around their house or church?
I do have a creche (nativity manger) with figures of people, angels, and animals that I set up at Christmas time. When my daughter (and later, grandsons) were little, it was an easy way to explain to them the Christmas story. It was a set that I had since I was a young teen. BTW, when I first bought the figures, they came with blonde or light brown hair. I used model paint to paint the hair on them black. I wasn't a Christian back then, but it just seemed more logical to me, ha, ha.
