How do I get TRS or VRSdiehardbiker65 said:I favor VRS because they benefit both end of callers. I generally know that most hearies hate TRS because they are insanely slow to have verbal conversation with. My deaf co worker told me he don't need VP. I asked him, how many times hearies have hang up on you though TRS? His response was, oh yea! PLENTY of times! I then told him, this almost never happened to me though VRS!!! He said really? I said yes, it is free what you gotta to lose?
So, I better suggest you to do research on hearing people who experienced both TRS and VRS and get info about their experience. I can bet that the result would be surprisily favoring the VRS and their response will shock plenty of deafies.
One of hearing AD member who works for TRS was very impressed with the quality of VRS when he first experience recieving the VRS call.
I prefer to call over IP because no charge on phone bills, just like VoIP.
TTY sucks... It will going be die in near future due start fading out.
Never tried on VRS before then not know.

Once you experience Videophone you would wonder why you wasted so much time on TTY and IPrelay.
The truth is that Videophone is much clarity, much faster, actually more than 10 times faster than TTY and you get to speak your natural language though VRS.
I only use IP relay if I have no choice and it is considered last resort.
Finally the demand for Videophone has exploded, so is VRS had exploded much faster than TRS. Why exploding That is because once deaf touch it, its over and that kills TTY effectively.
Believe it or not, even though FCC paid around $6.75 per minute for VRS, while FCC paid around $1.90 per minute for TRS, statistic shows it is still CHEAPER for FCC to pay VRS than TRS, how can this be true? 5 minutes of VRS conversation equals 50 minutes of conversation, and it cost 95 dollars for TRS verses $33.75 for VRS, both for same amount of information or conversation!
So, please give Videophone a try, I can bet you won't regret at all, and would be likely thank me, like I thanked my best friend for pushing me to get VideoPhone.
it's illogal on amount of communicate between teletype and video.
5 minutes on video is pretty equal as 10 to 15 minutes in type. For me, it's less than 4 minutes in type.
BTW, it's $1.31/min on TRS and $6.44/min on VRS.
