Which do you prefer? Debit or Credit Card?

the bad stuff is mostly between Mexico-USA border.

Oh, okay. Now I got it. Other than that area, the rest of Mexico is pretty safe?

yep. most of time - it's cash only.... under the table. sssshhhh :cool2:

but for my friend with her own business - she uses square cash. very easy. hassle free. high-tech.
TCS does NOT get paid under the table. He keeps very accurate tax records. That's why we always have to pay big chunks of taxes every year.

Not really. I would say the problem is more at the center of Mexico. Borders can be dangerous but not as dangerous as many other places in Mexico. But then there is Ciudad Juarez, that of the places you dont step foot at all if you value your life. And well i guess mexico is overly corrupted and just doesnt try to hide it like some other places, or if they are trying ots a big fail. But well i live in the Mexicali- Calexico border. Its really ok. There is a place in Mexicali thats a big no no but other than that you are good to go.

If anyone never have credit card, it's affect that you wouldn't get good credit score for get loan on car or house.

Currently, I have a debit card only. For security purposes, maybe I should have a credit card instead. I did try to apply for one last year but I was turned down since I'm unemployed. I'm still unemployed so I don't know if it would do any good to apply again.

I have a debit card, and it works the same way as a credit card would, but only uses my own money, rather than borrowing from the bank.

As for PIN security - I'm not too worried. I can either choose to input my PIN or sign while paying for my purchases by debit card. And there's this wonderful thing called Paypass or Paywave, where you tap your bank card onto the terminal without having to input your PIN or sign.

When I pay my own bills, I would much rather use my own money than use that of the bank, and then have to pay that back, plus interest. It's just not worth digging myself I to a hole I KNOW I can't get out of.

You could try family income - I think you can use if you are married.
