Which do you prefer? Debit or Credit Card?

Really bank don't lose money on those who pays in full each month. Remember earlier, why retailers don't like take credit card, prefers debit instead? That is because when one use credit, retailer is required to pay fee to the credit card companies. Usually around 2.7% per transaction.

Remember you mentioned you don't like people pay you via paypal, why is that? Same reason with CC.
That's why Hubby doesn't accept credit cards in his business. He doesn't want the hassle or the fees. He accepts checks or cash only. It's worked very well for him.

Let's say you've had a bank account for a while now, and you've never gotten a credit card offer in the mail, because you'd told the bank you weren't interested. That is, until one day, a credit card offer DOES show up in the mail. This makes you mad and/or upset, cause you'd told the bank no credit cards.

Now my question is, do you prefer debit or credit cards? It's pretty obvious which one I prefer, and I have no interest in paying the high credit card interest rates, period.

CC all the way. I pay bills in FULL and have been doing it for years.

CC or debit card... same shit to me except CC is much more secured.

I don't think that credit card scores have anything to do with getting credit offers in mail. Then again, I may be wrong. Usually credit companies are happy when anyone is willing to use them. It is more likely that people will have below 800 than over 800. Therefore, if a credit card is going to be picky, they would probably lose money.

credit score has everything to do with credit card offer. the most profitable targets for credit card companies is the one who filed for chapter 11. and those with shaky credit score because they know they will not pay in full monthly.

people with excellent credit score are the least profitable ones for CC company but can be profitable if one uses CC a lot.... like me

I primarily use Amazon CC now and I must have gotten at least $500 free money so far.

yep. most of time - it's cash only.... under the table. sssshhhh :cool2:

but for my friend with her own business - she uses square cash. very easy. hassle free. high-tech.

Speaking of which, there's an advertisement on my tablet talking about credit cards. Ironic, isn't it?

I prefer debit. Especially cuz when my parents knew i had a credot card they made me go deep in debt on that card. Never paid late but still. I use credot cards when in emergency but other than that only debit.

Same here. I mainly use it for paying bills, and not much else. I rarely use it outside of my own home, except for when I go to the bank, but other than that, it stays locked up.

As for your parents making you go deep on your credit card, that was just plain wrong-- one reason why I'd never do it.

I cant complain much, even of at times i do. They still help me pay my medical bills at times. Which is more than however much they made me go in debt on that card.

Still-- I see it as taking advantage of you, and that's wrong. It's kinda like stealing your money you worked for. Know what I mean? You might not be able to complain much, but how about putting your foot down? Set up something that works for all of you, maybe?

I have my debit card and one credit card. ( Both through Chase ) I use my credit card once a month ( For a gas fill up or something ) and pay it off in full within a week. ( Gets you really good credit if you keep at it :P ) Other than that, I use my debit card for everything. I can't tell you the last time I had cash on me... :hmm:

Not the best idea. I still live at home and i dont jave to pay rent, food, or transportation. It may have been a large debt but they havr comppensated, mayve overcompanasated for it already. Maybe not my giving me the money directly but well again they did help me pay medical bills and if i have a stiggle paying for school they help too. And now with the wedding stuff they are also helping. But yeah credit card is not in existance accoring to them. x_x

Yup. Very expensive. Oo and i need to carry cash, sometimes i jeed to chance dollars to pesos.

Hmmmm.....going cashless IS something I've considered doing. Maybe it's time to try that next year and see how well that goes. That's an inspiration for me right there. Thanks. :)

Oh, okay. I was just curious. I didn't know Mexico had traffic jams. Interesting.

pretty much all countries with vehicles have traffic jams lol

Always learning something new, although I'd think that Mexico wouldn't have any cause of all the bad stuff going on down there. Guess that just goes to show I learn something new every now and then.
