Where do u get the idea those Cubans show support for Castro. None of my Cuban friends support him or his brother. I have heard many bad stories from my friends who used to live there. And it is a communist country. My closet friend's father spend a year in prison just for complain about lack of money to feed his own family. Once he got out of prison, he took his whole family to America. Of course they love their homeland but could not live there under Castro. They had to send supplies to their family members who are still live in Cuba because they do not have enough foods, clothes, hygienes and many other stuffs. It is better to live in Mexico than living in Cuba.

Also one of my deaf Cuban friend who spend in prison in Cuba, he witnessed soldiers drop some prisoners into water and let gator eat them alive.It was hard for me to believe because I never read anything about it except his words.
 
Hmm, I don't really have a specific country that United States would seize but let's say - since this is hypothetical - I might as well throw in Canada and Mexico on the list because both, Canada and Mexico shares the border with United States and that alone would make United States much bigger as compared as to other countries. :dunno:

I find it to be a silly question to ask people and the answers confirm that people are obviously pro-war, pro-first strike and that's not a good thing at all.

I wouldn't seize any other country. I'd be too worried about my family and finding a safe place.

Priorities, people. Priorities.

Yes that's exactly.. you should act that way like that.. because your thought is very positive and important about your family and even members of relatives you are protect and find some safe place. ;)

Cuban's are very proud people! But they would welcome the USA with open arms! They love their country, NOT their government :)

there you go. SCBassist explained it good. Just because their ICBM can fly that far doesn't mean it's that easy point it to specific target. The VITAL piece of thing that remains dominant in this modern warfare is the GUIDANCE SYSTEM.

That's why I said in other thread that "nukes" is so 1950's. It's expensive, difficult, HUGE, and cumbersome. In modern warfare - it's all about destroying a vital capability such as communication center, power station, etc. You only need a small missile (like tomahawk) to destroy it, not nuke.

Nuke has solely one purpose - a total annihilation.

I'm surprised that everyone assumes an attack would come to us from outside the USA. What about from within? All it takes is one suitcase bomb in a major city to have the Constitution discarded in favor of a military form of government. Didn't retired General Tommy Franks warn us about this several years ago?

I agree with you on this but for a different reason. The reason is oil. The end of the war on terror is a nice plus.

I've already explained about "dirty bomb" previously in my post. A dirty bomb.... typically a suitcase or backpack or even in a car trunk equipped with nuke. I explained that it is very difficult to acquire and to safely transport it to USA. Many major cities, some key areas, and helicopters are equipped with nuclear radiation detection. Dirty Bomb is not well-protected which will cause the deliverer to suffer from heavy radiation dosage and since it is not well-protected, it is very easy to detect it.

if you wanna cause devastation - it's easier to use biological/chemical warfare than nuke. remember Anthrax scare?

We are STILL presuming the weapon being BROUGHT INTO the USA. i am not being paranoid, but it is possible for some rogue element in our own government to set off a nuclear/biological/chemical weapon in, say, a city of two million people. That represents less than one half of one percent of the entire USA population. Acceptable enough to serve their purposes. The people would cry out for military help and bingo, wish granted. Goodbye Constitution, hello Junta. I travel quite a bit and I do not YET see nuclear-sniffing helicopters flying around.
