When the alarm goes beep beep beep, you were like puzzle and you didn't steal anything.

Is it the HAs or CIs that made alarm goes beep beep beep?. :dunno:

Does that happens to you?.

They didn't disabled the security strip.

Your HA does not set it off.
 
no. never. it's not possible. it's as impossible as using remote garage opener to turn on tv.
 
I don't wear hearing aids or have a cochlear implant, Sometimes when I went through out the door the security alarms went off, it went off for no apparent reason. It's an embarrassment, I feel like I'm being treated like a shoplifter, sometimes the item hasn’t been security scanned properly. I think they need to get those fixed. :giggle:

It's the employee's fault for not using the equipment properly.

my HAs was on, the alarm went beep beep beep on me.

i did took my HAs off, the alarm goes beep beep on me again, UGH! :roll:.

i checked on my clothes and it's nothing. weird!

the security guard says to me, "it's okay, just go" with a friendly smile.

two different store that alarm goes beep beep beep on me.

yeah, that's how i felt too. stupid alarm goes beep beep beep on me. i didn't steal anything nothing.
 
Maybe someone slapped the security code thing onto your clothes for fun? :)
 
Well, it was nothing apart with the CI nor the HA, becuase I don't have them but it was one day, when I went to purchase the software and a PSP game, I went to the other shop as a short cut on its way back to the college, I was carrying the bag from the store I purchased, the secuity stands went off when I went past, I was like WTF, but I continued, as a patron. I noticed that the staff lookd at the stands, not me, so I carried on but the way out of the store occured again for no apparent reason, I stopped for a second and was like WTF again. But no one came to catch me, so they prolly assumed that It was just an innocent bystander. :P
 
It has happen to me. I was told to step aside. They checked my bag and found nothing.

The security asked me to lift my feet, I was puzzled. A security strip was stuck on the bottom of my shoe. They laugh and told me that I must have stepped on it. So I peeled it off and handed it to security.
 
Happend to me once.

I went through the security and the alarm went off.

I had to go back to the cashier for them to check all of the purchase. The cashier forgot to take off the secuirty tag off the new shoes.

I went back through the security thing and again--it went off.

This time two NYC police officers were looking at me. (very good looking by the way.)

So they took my bags and ran it through the security and it didn't beep.

They asked me to walk through. So I did. And it beeped! :shock:

This time the two NYC police officers asked me to come with them to the manager's office.

I did.

While in the office--they scanned the receipt and the purchases. Realize that it was a $ 400.00 worth of purchases.

They asked me to start taking article of clothes off to check the pockets.

They checked my coat and found the culprit......

They smiled and let me go.

What was the culprit?

A package of hearing aid batteries that I had just purchased at the drug store with it's security tag on it still!
 
In Uk, there's one particular shop that my CI and many of my CI friends sets a security sensor off, It's not just one shop, it's chain of shops under same name and they were in different areas! It's very annoying and we all had written letter to the headquarters to review the sensors. It's the magnet that sets them off.
 
I've never set off a security alarm with my CIs, but I have with my hearing aids. This happened as I was entering a Target store back in the late 80s. I waited for a moment to see if anyone would come up to me, but no one did.
 
Here is what happens to me...

I set of the alarm because someone forgot to demagnatize the strip on whatever I bought. Then I just keep walking because I am not wearing my hearing aids, and not all of the alarm things flash lights too. Soon I am being chased down by security and half tackled to the ground because they think I am stole something and now I am playing cool like I don't notice them.

Once they calm down enough for me to either say or write "I'm Deaf..." They look embarrased and calmly write me a note explaining that they need to see in my bag. When they realise I never stole anything they apologize profusly and continue on with their day.

True story! Happens a lot!:giggle:

it only happens when I try to steal TV's and Stereos

That's what they should do to BradB08 at Wal-Mart... the apologizing part that is. I'm glad you had some sense of humor on this even though that must be nerve-wrecking to be suddenly tackled down by a big man... thinking you may be getting robbed or sexually-assaulted.
 
One day , pre - CI I had gone to buy some things for college & presents..it was around the time I was expecting my approval..I went into the computer store..the alarms went off..they looked into my bags..found nothing and everything was properly scanned..I was WTF?

Then I went to the bookstore ( I'm an avid bookworm ) to replenish my staff and inhale any mini books I chanced..
At my way out it was again the alarm..ugh!! I started to think that maybe I had the CI operation in secret and I didn't knew it ha ha..Was searched from head to toe..not a thing..

I went to another store and I didn't find anything worth to purchase so I made my leave and the alarms..again beeped! UGH!!conspirancy maybe??to avoid the search I told security that I had CI ( lie lie lie!! ) and probably the magnet set it off..so I left..

I didn't dare go to the super market and I was desperate for supplies!! LOL! :giggle:
