cremation. my reason - see my reply to Jolie's post and plus it's a traditional way in Asia and it's part of my religion too

one thing - I was actually pretty surprised by ADers' responses in here. I never thought I'd see a lot of whites in here (you know what I mean) preferring cremation because it's viewed as burning in hell (i think) and coffin is a Christian/Catholic way to get buried.

wondering if my post in the past scared people into getting cremated :hmm:

Traditionally, my family has chosen burial but I am more liberal with my thinking than the rest of my family.

Jiro,

I notice that my family/relatives used to be practically religious family in the old times. Actually, my mom isn't into it. so the point is that most of us who were born here in amercia and our opinoins toward religious has been changes a lot than what our grandparents opinions about the religious. Now my grandparents were cremated already. i am not sure if mom did pour grandparents into ocean in nyc. i better check my mom now. :hmm:

I vote other, I read a few years ago about some people that died and was froze so if man can find some way to bring back the dead I'm all for it :)

But I forgot to add if I die old then I want to buried :)

I voted that I want to be cremated and my ashes are to be spreaded on my ancestral land in a tiny island in Eastern Canada and my family is only the ones who do it.

Of course I would like to see my family to hold three memorial services in Canada because I have had many friends across the Great White North.

I understand my religion's view that being cremated is like being burned in hell and as a Catholic, I do not share with this view.

I want to be taken by Valkyrie

"When I die, I want to go like my grandfather - quietly in his sleep. Not screaming like the passengers in his car."

I voted cremation. I have this fear of being locked up in a box for eternity. I'd rather be burnt.

When I was a child, I had this fear about dying but only to wake up in a coffin buried deep in the ground. I am claustrophobic so that would be a nightmare of all nightmare if that ever happens to me. I have watched one episode of "Bones" or "CSI" where one of the officers was buried alive in a coffin or a box. I couldnt handle watching the episode and had to turn it off.

That was CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. I've seen that episode a few times.

When I pass away. I do not want to be buried. I want to be cremated.

I rather to be cremated and have a memorial of happy times. I do not want to be remembered lying in a coffin.

Which one do you prefer and why?
I prefer burial. Hubby and I have bought and paid for our plots. Life insurance will have to cover the rest.

Future burial

When you die - would you rather just use the old fashioned way of burying yourself in the earth's dirt or be futuristic frozen?

What's your thoughts?

Creamation on both of us (me and my wife) and just the same with my wife's parents were creamation in the past.....

Never gave this one much thought, I mean, how often would one want to pay a visit to a love one's tombstone? Cremation sounds like a good option... dammit, now I got the urge to review my life insurance policy!

*You guys, don't even ask if I'm worth more dead than alive! OR :nutkick:
