What's your lunch tonight?

We had Hebrew National Reduced Fat hot dogs and Bush's Best Country style baked beans.

that's interesting about the sesame seeds, were they in the pasta? maybe I'll try that sometime

I make my own mixture of food, I do not follow any recipes. Hence, my dishes lack a name. I am not an anarchist except when it comes to food. The principals are: healthy (I am a diabetic), likeable (good food is good), non-conformist (I hate following what other people are doing) and non-nonsense (the individual agreements should make sense :P, but the mixture serves the purpose of confusing people :naughty:).

I had vegan cabbage rolls <diced almonds, walnuts, brown rice, tomato sauce with spices with cabbage wrap over it>, stir fry and vegan pumpkin pie:wave:

I like almonds and walnuts.

Got to find me a recipe for that.

Lunch at church after the funeral. I had ham sandwich, potato chips, some dessert that had cereal with something sticky holding it together and chocolate frosting. I was surprised at the vast quantity of things that I don't eat are served at a funeral lunch. I was certain I was very circumspect in not letting people know I don't eat those foods. But when we went back to the house my sister in law made me food that I eat and brought it to me. I was amazed at her thoughtfulness. Although I do wonder how she knows exactly what I eat.

I'm having chicken barley soup with carrots, celery and onions with a good dose of garic and some thyme with milk for lunch today. It's just the thing for a chilly, rainy Nov afternoon. I was planning to have chicken noodle but I forgot one of the indgredents for my homemade egg noodles.

Today's lunch was a salad with Spring mix, and garden salad mix, diced fresh avocado, diced tomato, bean sprouts, alfalfa sprouts and toasted walnuts. I had a Walden Farms blue cheese dressing. On the side we had Nan bread with roasted red pepper hummus.

Oh that. I often find that they are way too hot, you have to let them cool off first. I remember when the pies were fried instead of baked.

For some reason, I''m thinking of pies fired out of a cannon. :giggle:

Oh, you said fried? I don't even want to think about the fat and what it will do to my heart if I ate fried apple pie!

I stopped at Long John's Silver for lunch. I had fish, clams, shrimp, fries and corn. I decided to have Moutain Dew with my lunch. The meal cost me over 10 bucks. Ooops! I put vinegar on my fish. YUMMY! I skipped supper b/c of this meal I had fur lunch.

2 hamburgers (bought in a store and fried by myself; not purchased at McDonalds) with bread, 3 tomatoes, 1 carrot, 2 peppers and some olive oil and sesame seeds.

I changed my mind. I'm having peanut butter soup for lunch today.

I made that from Moosewood vegetarian cookbook when my kids were little. No one would eat it , so I haven't made it again.

Wish I still knew the recipe.

I didn't use that recipe.

I just threw in left over vegetables (same kind that you'd use in peanut butter soup), homemade chicken broth, 2 T peanut butter and skim milk and butter with a good dose of texas pete.
