What's your dinner tonight?

Not really dinner... but I feel like eating it this morning.

Jasmine rice, drizzled with run-off from round-eye steak... and grilled asparagus.

You cook very well I gather?

Better not let me find where you live, or I will show up on your doorstep for dinner!

ding dong! (or *door strobe flashing*) 2 hungry people at your doorstep, souggy!

Depends. If you're not French or Asian (aka if you're not a white English-speaking Canadian), you would probably find the spices too overwhelming. "too spicy, too much herbs!" is a common complaint among my (Albertan) friends. Wish I can find some crawdads though... would be nice to do some creole-style cooking sometimes.

Sadly... even this chef does have his downfall: I don't know how to deal with potatoes.

And who knows? An AllDeaf meet in Victoria, BC? :laugh2: More likely to happen in Seattle or Portland, unfortunately, than Vancouver or Victoria.

Glazed orange roughy. Side dishes TBA.

Tonight, thinking lentil soup and salad
I like to make asparagus salad, my mom taught me.

Sosie, thanks so very much for the recipe. I love to cook. Only once a week or so, and this recipe sounds so very good. You must be an excellent cook. I have also seen your russian rice recipe.
Bet this will go great with Bottesini's Reeses pie.
We should all contribute recipes for the alldeaf cookbook?

You are welcome!
Me, too, I love to cook. My late father was the owner of the restaurant. I learned a lot from him when I was 12. All my family and friends said I am an excellent cook. That's why they come over to my place to eat and keep saying "it's so delicious!” I still get a lot of nice compliments from them.

I think it's a great idea but please don't sell the AllDeaf cookbook to Amazon or other company because some of us made a copy from someone's online cookbook like Rachael Ray, for instance. We don't want to be sued.

I was late home tonight.. Potatoes dried up + stuck to the plate!
And some sort of meat that reminded me of an old leather schoolbag I used to own!

Yep... My family snack on them.

Pickled pork hocks/feet. Lots of Americans and Canadians find it gross, but it's actually a pretty common snack item in eastern Europe and Germany.

Think it's also popular in the South?

I use hickory smoked hocks. They're quite popular in the South,

If I can find chorizo sausages at the grocery store this weekend, I'll have lentil soup with those this weekend. I'll have to get some veggies to throw into my lentil soup.

Crab stuffed coconut shrimp, ( a frozen pre-made luxury from Target ) and chicken pot pie.

Plus milk and juice.

First meal at our new place was Tacos. Cooked them myself!

Yummy!

Preparing kitchen for sushi in about 2 hours.

Just plain old Japanese-style sushi (rice on the outside of the seaweed) with sockeye salmon in the middle. Also having some halibut sashimi and salmon sashimi. Going to serve with slices of an orange, raw halved radishes and raw sliced carrots.

 Do you buy the fish raw or do you buy the smoked kind? I understand lime juice is used in making sushi.

Chicken Carbonara pasta bowl-like bread and root beer. <3 :aw:

What would we do with the gains? Field trip??? :laugh2:

I had not thought that far ahead, but with members all over the world, I am not sure where we would go?

We could also raise money by having Alldeaf shirts on Cafe Press.

Surely we could find something to do with it?
