What's your dinner tonight?

I'm having meatloaf with either smashed potatoes or mac n cheese, milk and spinach salad for dinner tonight.

I've always wanted to try meatloaf but we don't have it over here.

You have ground beef, eggs, breadcrumbs, and tomato ketchup, or Heinz 57 sauce.

That is all it is. Mix form in loaf, bake at 425 fahrenheit for one hour and 15 minutes.

About 2 lbs ground beef
2 eggs
1 cup breadcrumbs or oatmeal
1/2 cup of the ketchup or sauce

salt and pepper

So easy.
 
Today I am having the cube steaks, sauteed onions, rice and beets for dinner.

oatmeal? oatmeal instant?? I don't think I haven't tried it. I love meatloaf. I should make one for me and my boy. we both love red meats.

I don't think instant works. And maybe grind it a little in a food processor.

Here is a more professional recipe than mine.

MEATLOAF - REAL GOOD
2 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 1/4 lb. ground pork
1 c. bread crumbs
1/3 c. oatmeal, uncooked
4 eggs
2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. Dijon mustard
1 c. tomato sauce
1 med. chopped onion
5 oz. evaporated milk
Dash pepper

Mix together. Pat into loaf. Bake 1 hour at 400 degrees.

We have used the 5 minute oatmeal, breadcrumbs and crushed crackers in various meatloaves. We find that breadcrumbs and oatmeal are the best. We also used only ground beef when we made them. I have found that I am unable to eat meatloaf without getting indigestion and daughter HATES meatloaf, while hubby LOVES it. Go figure!

Oh, you can microwave your meatloaf as well. Make it a little wetter than usual, put into a 2 quart round dish with a hole in the middle. I use a custard dish. Nuke for 20 minutes and 50% power and 10 minutes at 100% power.
 
dunno yet....my big kid wanted corn dogs..he found them in freezer I thought we were out of it! LOL! I guess I'll find something to eat...something light nothing heavy. :) Maybe half sandwich of ham and cheese along with handful chips. That's it. Not that hungry.

My mother would use oatmeal in her meat loaf. It was quite good. I used planko crumbs in mine and I'm eating it tonight.
 
Dinner tonight

Since I am feeling better I am back to grilling ..I love grilled food..So tonight I am having Marinated Boneless Fresh Turkey breast..I marinated it..smile..
and sliced yams brushed with olive oil and asperagus also sprinkles with oil...
I will be able to eat all this for days..yummy...Comfort food...Midnight♥♥♥

your yams and asperagus look so good - I love yams!

I just got back from an hour of Zumba and had: carrots, brussels sprouts, egg white scramble and half a banana.
 
I went to Panera with family. I had potato soup, half tuna sandwich, apple, and part of a cinnamon roll.

You have a Fazzoli's? Ours in Conway shut down some years ago. They had good Italian food and it wasn't terribly expensive.

Tonight I had popcorn chicken with low fat Ranch dressing.

We have several and they have great coupons. They also have really nice dinner salads. It is one of my favorite fast food places.

Not fair. The only Italian restaurants we have are the expensive ones such as Italian Gardens and Olive Garden. I want a restaurant where I can go in and order Salad, Lasagna, Breadsticks with Marinara sauce and a iced coke to drink.
