did you or someone make all that? The cornbread dressing reminds me of my dad, we both LOVE cornbread! Latkes, now, there's a Jewish soul food! <potato pancakes>

we have no more leftovers.....
 
Thanks, dogmom. Still sick and it must just run the course. Respiratory infections suck.

So still looking at liquid dinner. Soup and milk probably.
 
If we don't get any heat soon, I will be sick. MIL turned off the heat since outside it went up to 50F, she thinks it's warm enough. I have a scratchy throat and runny nose. Yuck!

We are having fish, pasta, corn, peas for hubby.

We have pizza for Christmas Eve as well!

For Christmas, I smoked a turkey for the family on my brother's Weber using applewood. It was the best turkey our family ever had.

I believe my Christmas Eve pizza was the last food I enjoyed. I am thinking about trying to drag myself off the sofa and make a peanut butter jelly sandwich and orange juice.


I am so sick. :(
 
Botti - I do hope you get to feeling better. You're entitled to some "whiny-time".

MIL treated us all to pizza. Hubby opted out since he is still without teeth, so he had leftover sweet potato casserole and mashed potatoes.
 
Botti, maybe time for some antibiotics? Hope you are feeling much better soon. If we were closer I would make you some Greek chicken soup. My kids say it is Greek penicillin. It is chicken, lemon and garlic soup. So good for you.

Dogmom, I did cook all but the cookies and candies. My daughter, son in law and son provided the sweets. We really do like cornbread dressing. We often make it with chicken and corn. It is good all year. lol

ahhh..yup, chicken soup- my mom's Jewish matzoh ball chicken soup! Jewish penicillin:lol: Add to that the Greek penicillin of Nanna's and you'd be super-charged! Wish I could help....

Thanks to both of you. I got up this morning and can breathe. All that hurts now are my ears and throat. My doctor would not give anibiotics for respiritory without two weeks sick. I think I will heal before two weeks. I just whine. :)

On the bright side , we are going to Denny's tonight with a Christmas gift card! Woo hoo

We just got one, and it is on the outskirts of town. We used to have three, but they got pretty seedy, and then when one waitress got murdered in the restroom of one, they just closed them all.

That was several years ago. The new one is really nice though.

Botti - hope you are feeling a little better. All the Denney's around here are mainly trashy and need major upgrading. We have 12 withing a 15 mile radius. That's even after closing 4 of them.

I get the black bean and/or chicken veggie bowl, no rice, no cheese, no tortilla - just veggies, protein and guacamole!

today my mom took me to a movie and am not hungry now.
maybe for hubby I'll make some leftover barbecue beef that was a gift from his uncle <one of those mail-order meat samplers> and stuffing and salad...
 
Prime rib. I'm not really a fan of red meat, but every once in a while it's nice.
 
I had leftover veggie fajitas and hubby had steak and potatoes. We were both very happy.
 
I am fixing mini-burgers with cheese, mashed potatoes and carrots. Short on funds so we are not eating as well this week or next.
