What's Your Comfort Food?

When I am down or stressed, I can't eat. However, when I am sick..I comfort myself with seriously sharp cheddar cheese on triscuits. Yummmm!

Me either, my stomach goes into revolt, makes me nauseous. I got really stressed out and upset last january and lost 10 pounds :( I was down to 97.6 pounds, I've gained some of it back but not enough! I LOVE cheese, I'm lactose intolerant though. last week I found a sharp cheddar that is lactose free, that really weirds me out but it tastes so good I don't want to think about it. That sounds like an awesome sick treat lol

A caramel latte or caramel mocha with a warm toast of nutella on it always makes me feel better! Yummmm!

Depending how bad, there's Doritos, Martin's BBQ chips, and Rold Gold with Mt Dew.

How about them "Honey Buns"?....And pieces of carmel candy I can't resist....

I don't eat potato puffs anymore, but I used to love how the cafe smelled when I was in school as a kid. If I can find a way to make them low fat, they would be on my list every week.

Tonight, I made classic guacamole which came out really good and was a good compliment for my chicken in salsa dinner. I paired it with dry white. I would have made a Silver Margarita with Patron, fresh lime and agave nectar, but I'm going to save the sugar for the weekend instead.

If you bake them in the oven it doesn't add fat, and they only have about 8 grams per serving.

My hubby tells our son that I am a mouse because I eat all of the cheese before anyone else could get a significant amount. I don't have a weakness for sweets, junk food, or fried food. Just cheese.

haha that sounds like my son!! I had to get a child proof lock for the fridge because he'd gobble it all up, there'd be bite marks all over the cheese block. Then when he started going to school, at the begining of the year they'd fill out "all about you" questions. This is him, "what's your favorite food?" "cheese", guess it could be worse!! He's 14 now, and still a cheese hoarder. lol

Growing g up my mom would get so mad at me for using up all the cheese. At 40 I am still doing it. My roommate buys cheese and I told her she has to hide it from me. Lol

Shel90, according to the latest research, the highly esteemed nutrition scientists have announced that Cheese are VERY fattening, except Camabert, it ranks number 4 right after pastries.

Whenever I'm recovering from feeling sick, or just don't feel good some day, I eat a jin ramen (mild).

It must be a childhood thing, but I feel better when I eat it..

But if I'm pukey, I will only eat apples..

Doesn't that have something like 3000 mg of salt? How far are from a hospital?

Had postpartum depression (20+ years ago) and was losing weight (had already gotten down to my pre pregnancy weight and was already thin). My doctor suggested Ensures which I used when I knew I needed to eat but didn't feel like it.
