What's Your Comfort Food?

It's a great food! And full of antioxidants.

We got a Cuisinart coffee maker with a built in grinder for Christmas, so now I have taken up coffee drinking with a vengeance.

Botti what happened to your Keurig? I don't drink coffee because of my tinnitus but I love the smell of it.:giggle:

I couldn't give up coffee even if I tried lol, but thats not much of a comfort food for me, thats just a "wake up from the dead or the whole day sucks" for me lol

oh waittttttt. the madeleine cookie! that would be my comfort food.

too bad I can't eat it on regular basis cuz of ridiculous amount of butter in it. that spells heart attack and obesity. :(

I guess it would be grilled Salmon dinner with a glass of white wine. Although, I can't really call that comfort as I have it all the time.

Whenever I'm recovering from feeling sick, or just don't feel good some day, I eat a jin ramen (mild).

Still have it. The Cuisinart is actually my husband's as he likes freshly grinding the beans, and isn't crazy about the Kuerig system.

I found out after trying it that he may be right about the whole fresh ground thing, so now I just use the Keurig at night for decaf.

I have a friend who married a woman from Costa Rica. Not long after they marreid they went there for a visit. When they came back they came over to my house with a gallon size bag full of freshly ground fresh picked beans. I was all "omg you brought me a kilo!!" That was the best coffee...ever. Heaven in a baggie!!!

I would love a Kuerig, maybe after I get my tax return ;) of course I'm saying "maybe after I get my taxes back" about a lot of things so we shall see. Maybe my parents will send me a gift certificate for my birthday, I know where it will be going!

I'm resuming my practice of self-discipline with coffee intake. You are right, caffeine does increase tinnitis. I also have PTSD, so practicing self-discipline, only drinking coffee before noon is essential. Anxiety also intensifies tinnitis, so I have an automatic warning system when the PTSD is about to have a flare-up. :cool2:

And the more you limit coffee intake, the more you appreciate it. I am looking forward to waking up in the morning, because then I can have some coffee. :D

I drink coffee when I have a bad headache.

I've heard there's caffeine in Exedrin, and caffeine can also help with asthma attacks. Me though, I'm very addicted to it, and if I don't drink, miss my hit ;), I'll get a bad headache that will only go away with coffee.
