Well mates Im back online finally. Ive been busy this week getting back into the swing of things after the holiday season.
First of all thank you for the sympathy after my cruddy weekend last week. It has gotten better and Ive been keeping good thoughts in my mind. First of all I got my truck fixed but it took an extra day longer than expected due to a hole in my exhaust that I had not noticed before. I talked to my mechanic and he said there was a hole there that was causing carbon monoxide to leak into my truck
x2. I told him to keep it an extra day and to please repair it ASAP. I knew Maddie had been sleeping on the way home more than usual but I just chalked it up to the holiday stress. She never said she felt bad but thankfully no ones suffered any ill effects from it. Now that its repaired she's her usual talkitive self on the way home from school again. (She had been staying at my grandmothers house during the holiday break due to her school being closed).
Then my work week got srange when I was working and I look up and I see a guy in a white coat (smock) standing next to me looking very interested in my work. I was like Oh crap what did I do (or not do) now? Then this older man starts walking around with a video camera and starts filming me and I was like WTF?? It felt very strange to say the least. Then they came back to me 3 or 4 times and I finally looked up to the guy filming me and said "Please promise me this doesnt end up on You Tube." He laughed and said it wouldnt.
At break I asked my supervisor what they were doing and she said they were from Broken Bow, Oklahoma and were interested in starting a poultry processing plant out there and were filming our process to get ideas on how to get set up. Interesting though since we do receive poultry from Broken Bow to process ourselves. Maybe we will have less chicken in the future?? Interesting though.
Then today I went to Ft. Smith, AR to do some shopping and I bought me several new clothing items - all of which were on winter clearence so I got quite a few good bargains. I have a plaid American Eagle cap, 2 new sweaters from Deb's (both only cost me $25.00 USD - they were half off) then I went to Rue 21 and bought me a zip rib stitch cardigan - only $9 bucks (60% off). I also bought my DD several cute outfits. She has hit a growth spurt and most of her pants are now too short for her although they are still big enough around and one pair that actually seems a bit too big around but yet they are now short on her. The little buggar is growing up fast!
I went into Abercrombie & Fitch thinking I would get a deal or two on some hoodies - oh heck no! I found me a really cool hoodie that actually fit but they were asking $60.00 USD!!! I quietly put it back on the rack and walked out and checking my pulse at the same time. Dont get me wrong I like Abercrombie but I think some of there stuff is overpriced - especially considering my chicken plant budget! If I were regularly bringing home $700 weekly I wouldnt mind so much to pay a bit more for stuff but with bills and me trying to save for a truck I am trying to be very careful of how I spend my money. I dont go to the mall often so I dont feel so bad about my shopping spree. I probably wont go back until fall to get deals on their summer stuff.
Next week me and my DD are doing a fun 1 mile walk as part of a local 5K race put on by a very close friend of mine. Ginger I think you and TJ would love it. Its a very flat 1 mile walk and every kid receives an award and a t-shirt. I entered Maddie and her costs are only $10.00 which isnt too bad.
Jake - I love your new glasses, very classy!
Mom got her new glasses today too - while I dont particularly like the style of them, they do look good on her. They have bling on the legs and are only rimmed around the top halves of the lenses. I will get a picture of them sitting on a table sometime to show you.
FC - I was hoping you were OK when I heard about the tornadoes coming through your part of the country. Im relieved to know you are OK. I am however trying to get in contact with Narcan's new owners to see if everything is OK out there in Tennesse. So keep your fingers crossed there.
Did you hear about the KATV tower falling over and knocking TV stations and Internet out all over the country?? (Our internet was affected unfortunately, I couldnt log on last night)
Thankfully only one person was hurt and no major catastrophe resulted.
Im sitting here enjoying watching New England kick Jacksonville's butt all over the field right now. I hope everyone here has a good week!
