As hard as it might be for some to throw anything away, it’s probably not necessary to save every postcard, party invitation or letter you've ever received.

Journals from years years ago?

Birthday Cards? or Any Greeting Cards?

I used to collect junk
now i tossed alot out when i was moving here, ofc most important papers i kept, tax stuff i kept, the pics i kept the books i kept and ofc my collections of starbucks cups :)
 
I collection junkies stuffs lol just kidding ... i save some ex's pix and letters .. but most of stuffs usually throw out when the time is right ..
 
OMG, I better get rid of those ex-boyfriends' pictures... (OO) I'm not much of a pack rat, but ehhhh, they make good dart practice pictures...I just gotta sharpen them darts and have a go!

Gonna teach my daughter to do the same too...never know when she's going to get her wee heart broken...so I'm going to prepare her - the Malfoyish way. :) Tee hee hee hee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I usually keep everything I get. I don't know why, but I do value a lot of things that I own. I even have a few Coke bottles that I've had for almost 10 years. :eek:
 
I have a problem throwing stuff away. The only thing I've kept from my past are my paintings, Year books, and photos.
Just last week I got sick of my wall unit, and gave it to my in-laws.
 
:lol: ...Me 2 Vamp...I still have 6 bottles of coke and few bottles of Big Red..Used to be one of my fave pop when I was young..I can't believe I still have those bottles even they don't sell them anymore ...Still won't throw them away and theyre in my garage now....

I threw away most of the junks ..refuse to keep any!...
 
I never toss my old magazines......my wife thinks im :crazy: for keeping outdated stuff in our bedroom. Even my closet is getting near full tilt of 'em!
 
I kept old Spider-man comic books. I said about 300 books and they are in my parent's attic. Of course I put plastic wrap around box of books. Also I collect all world beer bottles.
Still stuffs in garage. Wife and I are still discussing about garage sale in May.

With me I still have my Ex's Pictures and even High School Friends Pictures.. Ill always tresures those...

and I also Kept some of my Ex Boyfriend's Letters and Cards that they gave me years ago....

Sometimes I look at them and Even Cried .. Remembering We did Fell in Love.. But.I broke one guy's heart and He died a week later.. I blamed myself for that but His Mother told me he had a bad Heart since Birth.. But Still It just feel Like I really did hurted him...Sad isnt it? I still have his letters and Even went to his Furneral..:(
 
Well, I still keep my most treasured stuff like coca cola bear with a golden star which my friend gave me for my birthday and few others. I collect some casino stuff like ashtrays, matchbooks, postcards, etc and few other valuable items. Something happens to me financially, then I would sell items for $$$$

Otherwise, something is meaningless to me, then I will get rid of junk. I plan to clean up my bedroom and garage where I storage my stuff in the boxes this summer.
 
hm, I keep my artworks... diaries/journals... cool clothes (retro is always in the style)....

I threw out a lot lately although and I still have too much. :-/
I threw out (well GAVE AWAY are the right words) childhood books, childhood clothes, big clothes, old bed, old table, old toys that I have no memories attached to it, shoes that I never use, clothes that I never use, ....burned my ex's photos and letters...(but the photos of exes in my album are still there because they are glued.) I am hoping to get a new photo album to start a new phase with no past pictures of exes in the same album.

Right now I am hoping I will clean out four boxes that are sitting on the floor... they are just stuff that I forgot about when I was cleaning out of my room and toss those junk to be sorted out in time ... it has been since summer that those "junk" have collected dust bunnies.

Are they un-opened?
 
i keep every mountain dew.. once they change their design i keep the old version mountain dew.. i even have old 70's mt. dew bottle :D and star wars mt dew can, etc.etc..

other things i keep is Taxes up to 7 years.. if its more than 7 years old i toss it away. i keep old pictures.. great memory.

sometimes i toss pennies away :-X
 
I keep pictures, artworks and drawings of my kids.. my hubby has a lot of comic books and sports cards, I believe they're baseball cards, and they're old comics and baseball cards, probably worth a lot of money by now. All in good mint condition
 
Jeeze ! My grandmother went to the Nursing Home. My counsin found all the letters and greeting cards what I sent them to her in Florida since I was little girl. It was 30 years ago.

I can't believe, I wrote those boring letters to her. Poor Grandma! I toss most of the cards. I kept some letters.

My mom was passed away in 1990. My Dad cleaned up all the attic and found several boxes what my Mom saved all my report cards, letters, greeting cards, post cards, art work, etc... I wrote her alot when I was in Europe and China because I was homesick. Even old TTY paper (model 28) big roll paper. I can't believe, we talked many subjects. I can't remember, how can we afford the phone bill.

Nowadays, we do not use TTY via emails, etc... My TTY always dust because I almost never used the phone. I used www.ip-relay.com to call long distance to my relatives. My phone bill always lower even with two phone lines !

Oh dear.. I am terrible missed my Mom. I was tearing my eyes when I read everything what we had a conversation. :cry: We were best friends !

Old pictures of childhood and family pictures too..

Not really my type collection.. espically my hubby yes he loves collection some of things...
BUT.. hate seeing my hubby loves the most JUNK things.. cuz never used it.. *groan* I begged him rid of this most junk things into garbage.. He refused..
wha.. a wasted?? (chuckles)
 
My Son has old baseballs cards from lonnnng time ago .. His Grandma who passed away 3 or 4 yrs ago from Cancer Left my son all the old Cards and magazines.. We are going to find out how much They are Worth.. But I need a "Guy" with us on that one...:)
 
i usual keeps the journal books from 3-5 yrs ago but i keep losin them.. oh well but i rather to keep the journal so that i can make it as scrappy book..
