What kind of gun sling do you prefer?

Burglars aren't the only bad guys out there. There are killers, kidnappers, and rapists. Remember the family in Connecticut where the father was beaten and tied up while his wife and two daughters were raped and killed? Then the "bad guys" set fire to the house. The family had given them all the money--it didn't matter.

There are some nasty people out there, and yelling at them won't scare them off.

one thing they didn't have was a gun but that doesn't really matter anyway because there's really nothing you can do about a predator stalking and preying on you all the way to home.

the family was followed by them from supermarket to home.

Yes you can carry a child with a two point sling. There are no local police in my town and rarely any county cops. Called them once and it took 20 min to show up.

If you can scare away bad guys by screaming then why do you need a gun?

Yes you can transition in a narrow hallway.

is there a reason to carry your wife out when a cop can just run to you? it's certainly better than getting shot by cop, right?

Last year my brothers childhood friends where arrested in my town because they where breaking into houses and beating people until they told them where the valuables where. A couple miles down the road from my dad a guy machettied a father and twelve year old daugter for a coin collectin.

I have a plan and practice it. I take safety ofall kinds seriously and know how to use the tools i've selected to exicute these plans.

So bad guys are only there to rob you. You will not come face to face wit them. The will run away when you yell at them and the cops will be there before there is trouble.

not a wishful thinking. it's recommended by police officers but of course... it doesn't always work in all scenarios. I live in urban area where a cop can respond within few minutes so most of robbers would run away if somebody was in home.

in your case, a cop would show up 20 minutes later so a robber would be more brazen and would want to tie you up. so you choose the best method possible that would work best for you and that's just fine with me.

what size hallways do you have? I just stood in my closet wich is only 32" wide and did a transition just to see if there was something i was missing. No problems at all.

Yes i might have to move a wounded person if i neede to remove them from danger like they lit the place on fire or i needed to move to a more defendable location.

I was being sarcastic about the yelling thing. You said if i yelled they would probably run away.

Both the two point and single point have good sides and bad. Thats why i suggested one that does both.

around here - many people have furnitures in hallways. and... is there a need to use a sling at apartment?

I realize i'm sounding like a tin foil hat wearer. I don't think it's likely that any of these thing will happen to me but they do happen to someone and i bet that person wishes they where better prepaird.

I can understand your concern since an average police response time is 20 minutes. that would be a very terrifying thought and a foreign concept to people living in urban area (except ghetto area where response time could be a couple hours to next day depending on situation).

I don't really have any good suggestions for you since I don't live in that kind of area where you live in. heck... I'd even say a sawed-off shotgun could be a good idea for those living in rural area
