What is Your Pet Peeve?

:laugh2: at your joke about carbs not counting because you can't see the label.

could you call DARS tomorrow and ask the receptionist what your counselor needs? at my DVR office, all that is needed is a printout.

Thanks, after a week of no coke, that was good, and filling.... I wasn't joking... lol. I am glad i could be funny though.

I am going to call my counselors assistant tomorrow.

When I have a migraine I often wish I were totally deafblind. And you are. So in a way you're lucky. <wink>

Are you feeling any better? How did shopping with your sister go?

Pet peeve: People that think their age puts their opinion higher and entitles them to being served.

I just spent the last three hours in a room with four women that are very nice in general, all of whom ignored my opinion throughout and just kept asking me to get them tea. <mad>

you're right, nika. i am lucky in the respect that i can't see or hear which is nice because i don't have to worry about being sensitive to light or sounds when i have a migraine.

shopping went well, but the noise drove me absolutely *nuts*. whenever i'm manic, i'm overly sensitive to sounds because they seem so much louder than they actually are.

i found a really nice samsung 32 inch HDTV. it has vertical speakers on the front left and right side of the tv screen instead of a horizontal speaker along the bottom. out of all the models that were on display, this was the only one that had this feature. there were some huge HDTVs i saw that were as large as 60 inches wide. since my tv stand only holds a 32 inch tv, that's the size i decided to buy. i'm very happy with my purchase. this tv reminds me of the one i used to have years ago that had speakers along the left and right side of the tv screen. for whatever reason, i have an easier time hearing when the speakers are elevated like that instead of being placed lower on the tv.

Cool about the tv, Sorry about the stupid girls Nika.

Pet peeve: People who dont take care of their responsibilities before they go out.

nika,

i just discovered a neat feature on my tv. when you turn it off, it emits a series of descending tones. when you turn it on, it emits a series of ascending tones. i've never seen that on a tv before. one thing i like about the tones is the fact that the tv doesn't turn on immediately like an LCD tv does, so it's nice having the tones to let me know whether the tv is on or off. talk about blind-friendly!

My parents hdtv does that too, It really helps a lot.

really? i didn't know tv's had that feature. cool! (then again, i haven't purchased a new tv since the mid 90s so i have no idea what kind of technology is out there.)

yup, i love it... When i can manage to get at it. grrrrrrr stupid military channel that my stepdad is infatuated with.

That is a Samsung thing. I had a old kind of tv made by Samsung and it did the same sounds when turning on or off.

i've been watching my tv for a few hours now and love it. the only thing is that i'm watching regular programming because i need to exchange my analog cable box for a new cable box that works with HDTVs. my sister will do that tomorrow.

My pet peeve now is the bone dry weather during the winters causing my skin to form dry spots no matter how much lotion I put on each day! Ugh!!!
