What is Your Pet Peeve?

How about teens who have belching contests in the middle of a movie?

my pet peeve are people who think their feelings are more important than others because they've experienced something longer than another person (such as a loss or death). one example that comes to mind are blind people who minimize another blind person's grief over the loss of their guide dog because they've "only" (note only is in quotes) had their dog for 3 months compared to others who have had their dogs for 10 years or more. to me, each of us has a right to feel the way we do regardless of our past experiences.

When I am driving down the road in a calm manner and the guy (or gal) next to me suddenfly yells, LOOK OUT!!! Startled I hit the breaks only to see that their screams are nothing but a tasteless joke. Grrr.

6 months shaved off your life!

Man I tell you. I jump out of my own skin when someone does that to me. It's totally uncool.

i can't count the number of times sighted-hearing people have done this to me. i have a severe startle response which only fuels my anxiety. i get so angry when someone shouts, "watch out!" and then grabs me because they think my cane is going to touch something (which is the purpose of having a cane) or that i'm going to run into an object. <very mad>

When a hearing idiot says something stupid about deaf people. I have to hold back from giving him/her a knuckle sandwich.
