What is your opinion??

Why the pediatric version? Would it still be strong enough?

Anyway, I don't know if I'll really switch aids or not. I'd like to test the Phonak Naida before I make a decision, and this particular audi does not sell Phonaks.

I think Oticon must be having a sales push. I got a postcard from my winter audi (I have two lives - my "winter life" and my "summer life" and have different professionals in each place) saying "come in and try the new Oticon!"

Then when I went in to my "summer audi" here just to change the tubes on my current aid, he also suggested that I take the Oticon out for a "test drive." I can wear it to different events and see how I like it with music, in conversation, etc., etc.

So, we'll see. I'm really in no rush.

I think they are exactly the same, but Safari is the pediatric version. You just have to get the one for profound loss and you can still get a neat color.

Is this your current piccie, the avatar, B-G?

You look like smashing girl, and I suppose you keep your gorgeous gray hair
to be a matching pair with your poddle, but....

Girl, you can take away 10 years easily with new color an updated haircut!

Nice ashy blond for your complexion, shorter updo, and then matchin' Chili-
and star is born!
:fly3:

are we taking about these?:

nifty!

Why thank you, Audiofuzzy.

How old do you think I am, just out of curiosity? (It's ok, you can guess - I won't beat you up no matter what you say!)

That pic was last summer; my hair is longer now, more of a bob. I have been thinking about getting it all cut short again, though. Maybe your encouragement is just what I need to take the scissors to it!

And yes, that link is to the Oticon Chilis I might be considering.

I've had my Oticons 5 yrs with no problems. Ask for a loaner pair before you buy. Test them out in real life situations.

That's the plan. They are letting me do a nice trial run with them. Or will let me do - I go in on Wednesday.

why are you critiquing a woman's appearance when not even asked for your opinion? that's just weird.

But as long as he did - whaddya think, should I cut it short? PM me if you want - I'm curious about getting unbiased opinions from people who only have seen the pic. My husband just says "sure, do whatever you want."

You look good and happy as you are. No need to dye your hair to take years off.

People need to develop an appreciation of beauty that exists at all stages of life.

he means the Phonak Naidas man, I almost went for that hearing aid but I blamed JennyB for making me get that Safari. :)
Really 0_o I understand who he means phonak naida? I wonder you blame!

I guesss! my opinion!

your hubby is a smart man!
I didn't like the poodle crack.
I think that a style that frames your face more might be attractive but keep it long if you want to be able to put it up. Long hair has more versatility. Do what YOU like.

Very true!!

I didn't like the poodle crack.

Oh, I took no offense to that at all - I make the same joke myself! Especially when all three of us have been freshly groomed (different salons, I hasten to point out), I say we "match."

Hmmm... I think I'm ready for a change. Won't be coloring it again, I've had my fill of that, and my natural color is (well, was...) dark, dark brown, nowhere close to ash blonde, but I'm ready for a different cut. Just not sure exactly what.

.

Oh for cripes sake - knock it off already!

for starters,
the "poodle crack" wasn't a crack at all. some people are very proud of their pets and will do everything to look like them actually.
because of the avatar, I simply assumed it is the case, is all.
I apologize for assuming wrong.

Second - I wasn't critiquing the lady's appearance, either.
I was simply inspired - new HAs, new look. It is also as simple as that.

And coloring gray hair always make one look younger, no matter what age, period.
oh, maybe if it's dyed black or very dark brown. (just too dark a color)

It's clear to me some people will find faults with me with everything.
The subject lost all appeal to me thanks to you.

Hey Fuzzy,

Since I'm the person in question, just wanted you to know I did *not* take any offense at all! And as stated above, I make the joke myself about looking like my poodles. They are both elegant silver-greys. You assumed right, actually, that I like the picture because my beautiful doggie and I match. It's ok - we benighted poodle people are like that.

My sisters and I give each other the benefit of our considered opinions re: hair and fashion advice and general appearance all the time; that's what sisters are for, right? So I have a long history of not taking offense at stuff like your comment which far as I could tell was not meant to be offensive at all.

Far as I'm concerned, it's all good. Not to worry. I will even Knight you into the Society for the Advancement of Beautiful Poodles and Their Owners, should you so desire. Botts, also being an owner of Beautiful Poodles, is also an honorary member. ;-) (This will come as news to her...)

 Yes it is surprising news. I am a fancier of all hypoallergenic dogs though.

Maybe in old age I will get a service dog of a standard poodle!

My present poodle is slightly pudgy and aged, somewhat like her owner!
