oh? so you think me guessing him getting a death penalty is silly but some people guessing Zimmerman will walk a free man is not silly?

People commit far more heinous crimes, involving raping and torturing their victims before murdering them, and they commit those crimes with far more premeditation and yet they mainly get life sentences. I don't know if he'll be freed or not, and personally, I won't speculate about that. I still don't think we'll ever know for sure exactly what happened.

But the idea that he'll get the death penalty *and* be executed is pretty far-fetched, even if he is completely guilty about everything you've said he is guilty of.

Like I said - he killed a minor. that's death penalty. if convicted of hate crime and murdering a minor... yep that's death penalty for sure. if not - well it's fine with me that he'll get a life sentence. too bad he'll never see a woman ever again.

It just seems to ooze out of you that you think that GZ is guilty! What if he is proven innocent? Right now only God and GZ know what really happened. Well, TM too but he is dead. You seem to paint GZ in such a negative light for someone who does not have all the answers, evidence or truth! Last I remember one is innocent until proven guilty!

He would have to be found guilty of a capital crime before he could be sentenced to death. So far, that hasn't happened, and it might not happen.

That's exactly it. Zimmerman doesn't have to prove that he is innocent. It's up to the prosecution to prove that he is guilty.

It's never up to the defendant to prove innocence. The burden is always on the prosecution to prove guilt.

I recently asked my 17 yrs old daughter and 22 yrs old son about this case. Know what they said? They said "I don't care". That tells me that you and I are wasting our breath on it. From now on, I don't care. Whether GZ is going to jail or not, I don't care.

I never cared whether he went or not either.....most of us didn't. I think most of us are rooting for the truth to prevail....whatever that might be.

Then let the justice take over since we pay taxes.

Remember OJ's case, the truth prevailed but he was acquitted.
