Before Obama becomes the Pres, many businesses went out of business and economy went down badly. Bush left the mess to him. You don't remember that fact? Obama is not the only one to blame Bush. Many people and I blame Bush as well.

It is easy to blame one person than blame on bunch of idiots in congress. Reality, the congress is ones to blame not president. Don't forget the balance of power, president can not fix economy directly. The truth is, president really don't have control over economy. It is Federal reserve bank Chairperson and Congress that controls economy.

What you failed to mention was that the Democrats had the House and the Senate at the time. They voted to increase minimum wage - causing businesses to cut hours and benefits. Those hourly employees were earning more take home pay before the meddling done by the Democrats. Plus, they had benefits through their employers.

Now, as a result of what the Democratic party did, what they legislated and what they passed, businesses had to lay off people, and cut hours and benefits to survive. Hourly employees were getting overtime before all of this - now, the new full time is 27 hours with no benefits - and its BUSH's FAULT!!!!?????

Here you go, this is what and who the shutdown will effect. And no it will not stop the ACA, it's grand standing and toddlerish. Let's see they tried what 42 times to repeal it, the SCOTUS deemed it constitutional it's been the law of the land since 2010. This isn't even a last ditch ever to stop it, they can't. Tacking this "defund ACA" onto a budget bill so it won't be passed and shut down the government is merely for show, so they can point at the president and the democrats and stomp their feet and whine and cry about how they won't deal with them. It's extortion. This is them being asinine and throwing Americans under the bus so they can grandstand, showboat and try to get more votes for the next election. And at what cost to the Americans they're supposed to be representing?

I can't think of a better reason not to vote for any of them, ever again.
