Damn, kind of like the people who thought they had found a Spanish breastplate from the DeSoto era and found out it was only part of a door from a Ford Model T. :lol:
 
I learned that my brother changed his FB status from married to single. Not sure I want to call and ask what's up. He's also now friends with his ex-wife who physically abused him. Not good.

Sorry if you're stressed over it, that's definitely a doosey. You should unfreind him! (I think I said that right but I dont know the FB lingo)

No need to unfriend my brother, but I do worry about him. He has always had the worst luck and he and I have not gotten along well in years, but still, he's my brother.
 
I also learned, that my old boss is being laid off as of February 1, 2011. She has been with the company for 21 years and is devastated. Her position is being eliminated. She is the Operations Director for a counseling agency in mid-Missouri with offices all over Missouri. Her boss, who is the CEO, will be retiring in October 2011. They started this company together with another 2 people who have since died.

I learned today the origins of the Peace sign!! It was designed by Gerald Holtom (U.K.) during the 50's cause they needed a sign that represented the idea they were protesting against. He combined the traffic signals for N ( /\ ) and D ( | ) plus the circle. The N stood for "Nuclear" and the D for "Disarmament". The march started during the times of the war conflicts between USSR, US and Korea. After that the symbol became universal for Peace between any conflict. I read it on a book that was titled " The biography of a symbol" National Geographic. :)
 
Went to work wearing one of my favorite outfits....grey profession pants with a red sweater. Throughout the morning, I felt funny, like my clothes were so baggy and my pants were practically falling off without unbuttoning them. I asked my aide aobut it and she said to go weigh myself in the infirmary.

So, I did...I lost another 5 lbs since Friday.

I am thinking is that good or bad?

Geez...I was at the gym and watching CNN about this issue.

The view is that America is about to have a financial collapse due to people still getting laid off.

I am getting seriously worried.

My mom is about to get let go from her job that she has been with for 18 years.

She asked me if that happens she would like to move to Maryland from Phx and live with us for a while.

My brother is living with us so my mom too.

That shows how bad this economy is. Extended families having to live with each other under the same roof nowadays.

dont get me wrong..I would love to have my mom move here but my house is soooo smalll and two women in the house trying to take over?

With my brother and my hubby, they dont give a crap about running the household. My mom and I do so i am afraid we will clash.

Sad to hear.... It appears that Stimulus we paid $860 Billion for was a waste.
