If I was going to talk badly about my employer while still employed, I damn sure wouldn't do it on facebook. Also, I have a right to vent about a bad day at work, however, for them to go as far as calling it derogatory is a stretch. If they turned in the PM's to Tyson, it wouldn't be helping her out much, she is at the same level as I was, earning exactly the same pay and benefits, doing exactly the same job. Besides this is the same person that went to the plant manager and tried to plead my case to him to help me keep my job when I couldn't go in there myself.
I think this is all stemming from when me and my lead got into it and I vented about it on FB without naming names or giving specifics and it turned into a 50 response discussion when two others jumped in. However, that was six months ago and it has already blown over, or so I thought. If it was such an issue then, why didn't they get rid of me six months ago? Makes no sense.
When I was let go I had zero points against me and no write-ups. I was clean and had a good record. I just don't know why they decided out of the blue to off me when they did. Perhaps I shall find out more tomorrow when I go to personnel to see what my re-hire status is. If it is for no re-hire then I will have a good idea of who used this situation to make sure I was canned and have little to no chance of coming back. However, I have little proof if any.
There is a difference in venting about a bad day at work and making derogatory statements against your employer.
