its just im sick of them bitching about how much it costs for communicator (we dont have local interpreters, and why they bitch when its alot cheaper i dont know) more so i hardly used them because I am doing extramural papers this semester (correspondence version of the course because of the course's structure was more flexible for this one particular paper)
Another thing, im from new zealand - hardly worth mentioning the name of it this uni, for 2 reasons, 1) you wouldnt know it, 2) NZ laws sux, it is so undeveloped in regards to facilitating disabled people's rights, concerns "about rights" so far is that just bullshit , just lipspeaking, "soundbites" if you will, its just there to please gullible people, nothing more, its entirely ineffective, people are lead to believe it existed, it doesn't.
Anyway im just fucked off with them because their bottom line is money, money, money. The university thinks they are above the law, as I explained briefly, NZ laws does not completely recognise deaf or disabled people - only on their hearing/abled's terms, the university have 'policy' which effectively allows them to operate in such a way that it is impossble bring them to their knees. its dreadful and i am debating a decision to do one more paper, and do the rest at another place to complete another diploma, (doing 2 post-grad displomas simutaneously) Thats all. by hindsight, i wish i decided to study Law, but cant keep studying forever -im' broke and need to find work sooner than later! but still that university just fuck me off.
That is all I am prepared to say. its a waste of time to try figure what to do, and simply put I just vented here thats all. "what i have learned? - the university I go to, is no longer a NZ university, it is a cold hearted corporation, that thinks they are above the law, another way of saying, no longer i believe university is a place for learning, it is a place to ripped off - badly, there is a lot of sadness as you see, they place value on money , not education , not in the minds of people who wants to learn, but into the pockets of wankers like the Chancellors and shareholders from overseas.

Even State public universities operate more like a corporation with multiple departments rather than a university. They tack on usage fees everywhere including parking fees, technology fees, activity fees, book fees, etc. They also like to raise the cost of tuition every 2 years by 10%. But then everywhere you go on campus they are doing construction, cheap, shoddy construction mind you. The university apartments are less than 10 years old and the walls are already cracking as the foundation is shifting, some of the doors don't open/close properly because the doorways are misaligned. One friend's apartment has a slight tilt to it as he can set a ball on the floor and it will roll across the room.

The Summit dormitory is built the same way. The new athletic dorm, (Hull dorm) is starting to show trouble as some of the stucco facade is coming off in chips. Both of these were constructed in about 9-12 months and they have multiple stories. Summit alone has 6 stories, Hull I think has 4 or 5. Now they are talking about building yet another dormitory to house an additional 300 students. I think ATU also owns a share in Vista Place which was built on ATU property just a short drive from campus. Vista Place is a private apartment geared specifically for college students and to live there you MUST be enrolled in ATU and a parent/legal guardian must co-sign on a 9 month lease. You share the apartment with 3 other room mates.

still cheaper than private university

still cheaper than private university

true but while post secondary has become more accessible to the middle and lower classes, I can see it will eventually get closed up again to everyone except the upper class when the tuition keeps going up.

Oh interesting, my relative's friend lives in apartment with 2 roommates so just require 12 month lease, even enrollment at Auburn University is not required.

I learned (the hard way), that you cannot ever expect 4 teenage boys, ages 14 to 19...not to stay up all night...not to raid the refrigerator....not to get back on the computer when you shut it down at midnight....not to wrestle in the living room....not to cut on all the lights and leaving them on, after discussing the very high electric bill.....

OH man.....did I ever have a rude awakening this AM!....My kitchen looked like Hell's Kitchen.....Aww...well, soon as they awake....their ass is grass!

Sorry. Didn't mean to laugh at you. I like the "their ass is grass" part

Say what, PFH?? Don't patronize me here!..."Corporal" punishment? HAHA...These boys are twice my size....A good smack on the arse still seems to work "wonders of embarrassment"....(plus a little "snicker" when I attempt to do it)....and making them walk to the store instead of my driving, to get more milk and what-not for a good breakfast....and my Computer needs a "good nights rest" as everybody else does....PLUS....the neighbors need one too, without all that "late night racket" of rapping on the microphone and wrestling on the floors....(My "second sense" told me to go check after I'd gone to bed, went downstairs to see all that going on thru "bleary eyes")....

Ahhh...the wonders of teenage hood....guys will be guys, right?...2 are up now, "quiet as a mouse"....gonna be a big debate as to who is gonna walk to the store!

you described it well, thats is likely to the an international trend in the university "market" gone are the days when universities is a place for passionate learning, it is overtaken by ruthless economic-interests in whatever discoverys are made, it always get spoiled by commericalisation and hence cheapen the life in society. People havent learnt to be contented , instead the misguided concepts of success always points to generation of wealth. Real sad really but success of any such conceal crass exploitation.

Did it come from a modern dictionary? these days people make up words to match unecessary explaination.
