Being skeptical for so long....learned there "might" be some light at the end of the tunnel for someone who has fought drug addiction for over 25 years!

Addiction is very tough. Whether it's drugs, alcohol, nicotine, dependency, anything. I've been on that end of it myself. It takes a lot of strength.

That the people that own the condo upstairs are jerks , They where smoking cigarettes on their deck last night and when I went to take Marty out tonight I found a cigarette that been lite on my wooden deck tonight. I guess someone dropped it but they could had least gone downstairs to take it off my deck to made sure it would not burn my deck. I am glad it did not fall on Marty or me last night . I was going to take him last night outside from the deck but decided not b/c they where smoking . The deck floor has spaces between the boards and I was concerned the people would be dropping ashes onto my deck , they dropped a lite cigarette instead. :mad2

Started taking a new sleep aid for the first time today.... Had a weird dream that I fell in love with a friend of mine.... She is.... really.... really... way... far away... not... anything... of my type... ever.... nothing I'd ever be attracted to... definitely a nightmare... I woke up scared... :laugh2: Bad sleep aid bad! We're going to hope these dreams stay far far away and aren't a regular occurrence... :laugh2:

I really don't think the pill would affect your dreams that fast.

Remembering many years ago the doctor prescribed me Wellabuten for depression and to take it at bed time....I had the most horrible and bloody nightmares of my Life!....Woke up in panic...could not breathe....threw those anti-depressants into the garbage and told the doctor OFF!....(even tho' it probably wasn't his fault)....but...I still had flash-backs (effects) from that med...never again!

that happened to me once too, it was a different kind, prozac to be exact, it was too nasty....after ONE day never again, it was terrifying

I learned some people get carried away with just one little statement and take it to the extreme. No longer can someone make a decent conversation these days.

Prescription sleep medications work immediately. They don't have to build up in your system to work. There are many reported cases of very unusual things happening while on prescription sleep medication.

Example....Ambien.....people have driven their car in the middle of the night and have absolutely no memory of doing so. They get up and eat a ton of food, make phone calls, order things online. Wild dreams are very common for some people while using prescription sleep meds.

I'll 2nd that. I've been taking ambien for ages. When I first started taking it I had some really weird dreams like one night I took it and was watching Lethal Weapon on tv till it kicked in and I dreamed I was living in that movie as Mel Gibsons character :hmm:

I've never driven anywhere but I have gotten up and raided the fridge or candy stash or gone shopping online and once I wake up it seems like a distant dream doing that stuff.

Yes Scott exactly right. My background is Pharmacology. I would get patients coming back with their prescription sleep medication telling me it made them friggin crazy. I was nice and would call their doctor to change the medication to something else. I always tell new patients when you are getting a new sleep medication, just have them fill 5 tablet or better yet check to see if your doctor has samples. That way if they don't work your not stuck with them.

Never underestimate a person

I switch back and forth from Ambien to Lunesta. I build up a tolerance to Ambien so when I start to, I pop back to Lunesta for a few weeks, then pop back to Ambien. Any time I am on Ambien... I sleep walk bad though... I don't really dream though... but I sleep walk.... sooooooo bad.... I hide my keys and luckily I have a door combination lock on my front door to open it... apparently, that's too much for sleep walking Mew to handle... :laugh2: Plus, the latches... :laugh2: I hold sleep conversations too though, but that's apparently just amusing... :P
