Started taking a new sleep aid for the first time today.... Had a weird dream that I fell in love with a friend of mine.... She is.... really.... really... way... far away... not... anything... of my type... ever.... nothing I'd ever be attracted to... definitely a nightmare... I woke up scared... Bad sleep aid bad! We're going to hope these dreams stay far far away and aren't a regular occurrence...
Remembering many years ago the doctor prescribed me Wellabuten for depression and to take it at bed time....I had the most horrible and bloody nightmares of my Life!....Woke up in panic...could not breathe....threw those anti-depressants into the garbage and told the doctor OFF!....(even tho' it probably wasn't his fault)....but...I still had flash-backs (effects) from that med...never again!
I really don't think the pill would affect your dreams that fast.
Prescription sleep medications work immediately. They don't have to build up in your system to work. There are many reported cases of very unusual things happening while on prescription sleep medication.
Example....Ambien.....people have driven their car in the middle of the night and have absolutely no memory of doing so. They get up and eat a ton of food, make phone calls, order things online. Wild dreams are very common for some people while using prescription sleep meds.
I'll 2nd that. I've been taking ambien for ages. When I first started taking it I had some really weird dreams like one night I took it and was watching Lethal Weapon on tv till it kicked in and I dreamed I was living in that movie as Mel Gibsons character
I've never driven anywhere but I have gotten up and raided the fridge or candy stash or gone shopping online and once I wake up it seems like a distant dream doing that stuff.
Lunesta's patent expired in February and Mylan is marketing the generic Eszopiclone.
