I learned a lot has happened on AD today. Interesting..Hope everything works out for everyone.

Oh jeez. I can't wait to be in California already!!! Will be there in few weeks. Official. February 15. We should meet up this March or April!!!! I actually plan on going to a deaf social in maybe Yuba City. How about you?

I hope so, too. I learned that everyone has their own opinions and that it's better for everyone to just air it out.

I am excited for you to finally come home. It would be wonderul to finally meet you. We are just starting to get snow in the Sierra.

The coffee social that was supposed to be close by, was just cancelled. There are quite a few that are way closer than Yuba City. I am a little nervous to attend since I am so new with ASL. Maybe one day we could go together???

That's quite late... Just getting snow? Jeez. Weather has been extremely bipolar this year and quite unusual.

I keep getting invited to the ones in Rocklin, but I didn't know it got canceled. Is it due to the lack of people? I know we don't have a lot of deaf/hoh people in our area... It's pretty much rural!

We'll definitely go together one day. I'll do all the interpreting if needed, LOL.

Yeah I heard there may not be any snow in Tahoe for my snoball softball tourney this year. :( Last year they got hammered, now Alaska is getting hammered.

Really? Ugh. I love the snow... And was actually planning on getting a hotel room in Lake Tahoe as soon as I move back just so I could ski.

I learned something that surprised me in my Deaf History, and Culture class. We were asked if we had a Deaf child what kind of education would you want for them. I said I would want them in a school for the Deaf. I was very surprised my professors response. She said that kids who go to schools for the Deaf don't know how to socialize with the hearing people. It left me speechlsess for a minute. I havespent time with Deaf kids, and adults who have been educated in schools for the Deaf, and find that to be silly. I guess it kinda like people thinking home schooled kids are not exposed to oher kids. Crazy!
