What did you learn today? Part II

I like the Traveler version. Is it strong enough to wake anyone?

Kristina, Bed shaker? Isn't a vibrating clock under the pillow enough or you meant that it's strong enough to literally shakes the bed? I want that!
I have THREE alarm clocks

1. Black portable shaker which is very old and still working
2. White Portable one (same as Jiros') given by a AD'er friend on my 21st birthday three years ago - it is OK OK. Have trouble with it.
3. Now, I have a massive strobe/Vibration bed shaker and it is the best ever I have owned.

I learned to pray for cruel people and only God can work in their lives.

Sonic Alert Sonic Boom SB300ss Vibrating Alarm Clock with Bed Shaker Vibrator for deaf Products for Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Sign Language

This is the one I have. It does vibrate the whole queen size bed and wake up both hubby and myself. I move around enough in my sleep due to medical issues, that I could not have something under the pillow. This goes between the mattress and box springs.

I learned that the contractor has researched the needs for deaf and hoh people in their homes and has already figured into the budget things I will need for fire alarm, door bell and also for when someone knocks on my bedroom door. He has it all worked out and got a large education from my local Deaf Service Center.

No no it was example and that's good example too. If I missed a college class because an alarm clock didn't wake me up, I would get frustrated, but personally say "oh well!" by then

really you are college of course said oh well sometimes you are accept because mistake on late something attending!

automatic on bell belong my room I was woke up, client bell on my room! that is good!

Before I got my iPhone - I just put my phone on vibrate and shoved it under my pillow. Now, I have the iPhone which doesn't vibrate much at all so it's hit and miss but I usually wake up anyway between 7:00 and 7:30. I also don't put it under my pillow because I'm afraid I might damage the screen during my sleep so I set it on my night stand and put the night stand right smack next to my mattress so the vibrations carry from the phone through the night stand to my mattress. I need to order the Sonic Boom Alarm clock with the bed shaker attachment.

I learned that Bruiser liked the outdoor mall :)

I wish be hope be fun enjoy sometimes! I am tired! It is very low energy!

There is something to this idea- old fashioned: go to bed early then wake up early- say 6.00am zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

So, I find out from hubby, that the contractor is worried about putting in the laminate wood flooring in the house. He thinks we should go tile mainly due to possible flooding from rain or hurricanes and such. My concern is, that a tile floor is going to be too hard to walk on and too dangerous with my propensity to falls and the fact that I have a72 year old mother who is also sometimes unsteady on her feet. We already know we are not having carpeting (yahoo!!), but I kind of was hoping for the laminate wood floors.

How about area rugs?

They are not safe for the elderly and with my rollator, they tend to slide. My mother has been known to trip on the edges. Also, with all the allergies and asthma, we opted for no rugs or carpet of any kind.
