What did you do today?

Wirelessly posted

I went grocery shopping, while shopping I saw a deaf little boy, so cute. I cooked dinner pasta with garlic bread, refresh my phlebotomy skills via book, listened to some Spanish music and think of some dance moves with it.

Walking in 90 degree weather. Tomorrow back to the forties.

I did not even get anywhere near 90 degrees and I'm only about 4 hours (?) away from her! (Botts)

I heard about the storms we are supposed to get. I didn't watch the news to see what Mpls. would get tonight/tomorrow.

Today I lifted weights early am the ate at WFM. Then planted my butt on the beach. I may try to repeat that for a while. I don't think I even spoke to anyone today except for 3 good mornings.

Whatdidyousay, bless your heart for that!! I love reading happy ending pet stories.

What I did: went shopping at Pentagon City mall. Bought: 2 new wristwatches ($15 each, big spender that I am) at Brookstone. Very cool; they are just rubber bracelet watches with an LED screen that tells the time (or you can press a button on the back for the date), and that is ALL. No other buttons and crap. These are great for summer, as they can be worn swimming, to the beach, no worries about sand or about coming loose or anything. One white, one purple.

I have a couple watches from Casio and Timex that I usually wear while swimming, but they have so many buttons to do timers and elapsed time and da da da; they are more complicated than I need. So these are great. I did go shopping today and got some new sneakers and got some at was $3.49 a gallon! OUCH!!

Also: got a haircut, badly needed. So now I feel up to date again.

Stopped into the Yankee Candle store and bought 4 new votives in summer scents (Storm Watch, Lemon...something, a Tahiti flowered one, and Juicy Peach). Plus a pretty glass votive holder. LOVE that store; I actually restrained myself this time by just buying the little ones.

Went to the Sony store to look at TVs. Liked the Google TV very much. Cool CC options, including a transparent background - good for watching sports. Did not pull the trigger to buy it, though. Hubby has a thing against Sony on account of my BIL LOVES Sony and has a houseful of Sony products. Must be a guy thing; I don't understand why hubby has to automatically be against something BIL is all for.

Anyway, the Darling Husband says if I really like it I can buy it, but I think I'll still look a bit more, just to compare.

I brought a new pocket book the other day that only cost $3.99! And when got I home I realize I was not charge the sale tax! The sale lady thought she ringed in the wrong price and checked the price tag! I am big spender too! LOL! I could not leave until I knew dog was safe with her owner .

Promised my kids we would go to the park today but it was snowing and they are sick, so we made our own pretend park in the living room by tipping the couch over so it was vertical, and laying pillows on the floor... the couch survived my back didn't :giggle: It was a blast!

Aww! Make a pretend fortress!! I played that all the time when I was a child.

Same thing I do everyday.... I try to take over the world. Buwah ha ha ha

Glad to know the world is in such good hands!

Today I had my first cup of tea from a new blend I bought at Teavana yesterday. Oh, wow. Absolute delight. This is "Youthberry," (said to reduce fine wrinkles - though I don't see how drinking something is going to reduce any wrinkles).

Anyway, it was delicious. It's a white tea with orange blossoms and rose hips, plus actual big chunks of dried orange peel and other goodies. It comes out a beautiful pink color.

I love trying new teas, especially glad to move on from the dark smoky ones I like in the winter into something that is appropriately spring-like and floral and fresh.

I like tea too, but I can see how drinking some things could make it so you wouldn't notice the wrinkles. Of course they would not be teas.....:hmm:
